Description

TURNING is a mechanical process for removing chips that is defined by a combination of a rotation motion and a mostly rectilinear motion of the tool. By penetrating the material of the component to be machined, the cutting edge of the tool removes the excess part (the machining allowance) thus forming a chip. There are various types of turning: internal and/or external, or with different shapes (cylindrical, conical, curvilinear profiles, etc.). The wide range of Sir Meccanica's machines Ws and TOP, together with the KEW and the KET (manual), covers any type of turning internal and/or external and, with the CNC models, any type of profile.
