Description

Overview
The EasiDrive portable valve actuator is a field‑portable torque tool system designed to actuate manual multi‑turn and gearbox valves without dedicated fixed actuators. Using low‑cost mounting and bespoke reaction kits, a single EasiDrive torque tool operates multiple valves, removing the need for separate actuators or plant automation integration.

Key benefits
  • Portable torque tool system for rapid field deployment
  • Reduces capital expenditure by replacing multiple stand‑alone actuators
  • No dedicated power or plant automation integration required for basic operation
  • Reaction kits absorb feedback forces to reduce operator fatigue and injury risk
  • Enables quick open/close operation of multi‑turn or partially seized valves within minutes

How it works
Install the selected mounting and reaction kit onto the manual valve, carry the EasiDrive torque tool to the worksite and apply torque. The reaction kit captures reaction forces and feedback, protecting the operator and allowing safe, controlled valve operation. Multiple low‑cost kits make one torque tool adaptable across different valves.

Mounting & configuration options
Check whether the valve stem is rising and whether the handwheel must be retained. Typical configurations include:
  • Direct, handwheel off (gearbox direct drive without handwheel)
  • Direct, handwheel on (gearbox direct drive with handwheel)
  • Offset / rising stem, handwheel off
  • Offset / rising stem, handwheel on

Torque tool options
After fitting the custom mounting and reaction kits, valves can be operated with professional torque tools compatible with EasiDrive (RAD Torque Systems). Available tool types:
  • Pneumatic model — connects to plant compressed air via FRL pack
  • Electric model — 120V AC or 220V AC (50/60 Hz) with selectable output torque via tool display
  • Battery model — supplied with two Li‑Ion batteries and a weatherproof transport/storage case

Applications
Suitable for multi‑turn valves, gearbox valves and tight or partially seized valves across industries where manual valve operation is common and operator safety and efficiency are priorities.
