A compact image sensor for smartphone sub-cameras with all-pixel autofocus, high dynamic range (HDR), and various of other functions
The IMX858 is a compact image sensor for sub-cameras that is equipped with various functions equivalent to those of a smartphone main camera.
It works smoothly with image sensors for main-camera and provides many functions that previously have mainly come with image sensors for main-camera, like all-pixel autofocus to make it easy to focus even in dark environments and high dynamic range (HDR) to enable clear images even in high-contrast environments. It’s also the first image sensors for mobile to use our multi-camera sync system, which allows for smooth switching between cameras, contributing to a better combined multi-camera fusion shooting experience for smartphone users.
No stress over focusing for wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle, and telescopic shooting. Equipped with all-pixel autofocus
The IMX858 has an all-pixel autofocus function, which uses all imaging pixels as phase difference detection pixels. This allows it to achieve faster and more accurate autofocus, even for wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle, and telescopic shooting.
A compact image sensor that can achieve low-noise photography in all environments from bright to dark
The IMX858 has a double-exposure HDR synthesis function, allowing it to ensure a wide dynamic range from bright to dark environments despite the sensor’s compact size. This means it can achieve images close to the naked eye in high-contrast settings as well as low-noise images in dim places. It can also shoot 4K-quality HDR video at 30 frames per second, making it easier to produce more creative content.
