With the ST2883 surge voltage tester, insulation weaknesses of windings can be measured and detected at an early stage, thus preventing motor failures, for example, in advance. The ST2883 can measure 1-phase and 3-phase with 250 mJ pulses in a measuring range between 100 volts and 5000 volts in 10 volt steps (with +/- two percent tolerance). The sampling rate is 200 MS/s. The measuring instrument is controlled via the easy-to-use control panel with the seven-inch colour display, which shows all data and curves clearly and in high resolution. Area, differential area, differential phase and corona discharge are available as evaluation methods and waveforms. The ST2883 surge tester can also be integrated into automated laboratory and software environments via the LAN, USB, Handler and RS232 interfaces. In addition, the unit has a key lock and password protection to prevent unauthorised operation. The scope of delivery includes a foot switch for foot operation, the connection cable, measuring leads with clips, the operating instructions and the factory calibration certificate.
