They are characterized by a sturdy internal steel reinforcement, which allows the elimination of metal supports (often subject to corrosion) and therefore an optimal accessibility to the screen surfaces for inspections and replacements. The self-supporting polyurethane screens are fixed to the deck frame by means of central bars and side bars with wedges, all in polyurethane. They are therefore easy and quick to assemble and replace in both the multi-deck vibrating screens and in the trommels. The self supporting system is particularly used in the dewatering screens, where a particular sturdiness and the absence of bending are required.
