Overview This workstation is developed for testing specialised high-power LED floodlights mounted in factory ceilings. The design protects personnel from hazardous test voltages while preventing operator glare during functional checks.
Workstation Double-width DUT enclosure designed to accommodate long floodlight luminaires and provide effective visual protection during close-proximity testing.
Design and glare protection Functional testing requires strong glare protection due to very high luminance and short distances between operator and DUT. The enclosure is executed at double width and fitted with a specialised anti-glare coating. To minimise footprint, the testing device, switching unit and PC are integrated into the enclosure superstructure; only a keyboard and monitor are needed to operate the system.
Operation The tester places the floodlight into the test area and manually closes the hood, which automatically starts the test sequence. A successful safety test is followed immediately by a functional test. Test results are presented to the operator at the end of the sequence and the DUT can be removed.
Customization and adaptation SPS electronic develops tailored testing and inspection systems for specific customer requirements, adapting parameter sequences, test conditions and approval workflows as needed.
