Description

Overview
RF series dryers are specialised drying units designed for yarns in hank form, unwound tow/top slivers, loose stock and other loose textile products. They are suitable for use after dyeing, carbonising, bleaching and centrifugal hydroextraction (batch or continuous) and provide uniform residual moisture distribution without mechanical agitation of the product.

Hanks
Hanks can be dried after dyeing and hydroextraction without movement or passing airflow. This prevents yarn entanglement common in hot-air systems and facilitates subsequent winding operations, improving process reliability and reducing rework.

Tow slivers and tops
Tow slivers and tops—whether presented as pressed cakes, big forms or standard bobbins/bumps (after back-washing and squeezing)—can be dried folded on the conveyor belt. The method ensures even residual moisture through the sliver, reduces lamination effects typical of drum dryers and improves downstream operations such as tow stretch-breaking and tops intersecting/re-combing.

Loose stock
Loose fibres processed after carbonising, bleaching or dyeing and centrifugal hydroextraction can be loaded directly onto the conveyor or placed in permeable bags for RF drying. The system reduces product losses, ensures uniform drying and enhances the physical-mechanical properties of fibres, leading to more efficient carding, combing and spinning and a potential yarn metric yield increase up to 2%.

Technical specifications
  • Applications: yarns in hank form, unwound tow/top slivers, loose stock and other loose textile products.
  • Suitable after dyeing, carbonising, bleaching and centrifugal hydroextraction (batch or continuous).
  • Hanks dried without movement or passing airflow to avoid entanglement and ease winding.
  • Tow/top slivers dried folded on the conveyor for uniform residual moisture distribution.
  • Eliminates lamination effects typical of drum dryers.
  • Loose fibres may be loaded directly on the conveyor or placed in permeable bags for drying.
  • Reduced product losses and improved uniformity of drying.
  • Improved physical-mechanical fibre properties, optimising carding, combing and spinning.
  • Potential increase in yarn metric yield up to 2%.
  • Handles pressed cakes, big forms and standard bobbins/bumps (after back-washing and squeezing).
