OverviewStalam's Radio Frequency (RF) dryer optimises the continuous wash-and-dry cycle for natural latex and polyurethane mattresses after washing and mechanical hydroextraction. Designed for industrial laundries serving hospitals, barracks, rest homes and hotels, it delivers fast and uniform drying to accelerate turnaround times and reduce operating costs.
Technology and operating principleRF drying does not rely on surface heat transfer. RF energy is selective for water: moisture inside thick or shaped items absorbs the energy and migrates rapidly to the surface, enabling internal-to-external drying without surface overheating or yellowing. Energy delivery is adjustable to control evaporation rate and residual moisture precisely, eliminating wet spots.
Benefits- High throughput: typically 8–10 mattresses per hour.
- Short pay-back period due to improved productivity.
- Energy- and time-efficient: shorter drying cycles and lower energy use than conventional systems.
- Consistent product quality: thorough drying with no wet spots, no surface overheating and no yellowing.
ApplicationsIndustrial laundries processing mattresses and other thick, dense or shaped textile items (mattress cores, cast blocks, anatomical pillows) that require rapid drying and sanitisation.
