QICPIC & OASIS/L combines dynamic image analysis technology with a combination of dry and wet dispersion for fast and reproducible analyses of particle size and shape. Both fine, dry powders in the range of 1.8 - 4,000 µm and suspensions from 1.1 - 2,000 µm are reliably characterized in the laboratory environment with QICPIC & OASIS/L.
OASIS/L combines the powerful dry disperser RODOS/L with the proven SUCELL/L wet disperser.
In dry measurement with RODOS/L, the sample is passed through the measurement zone by compressed air in an aerosol free jet. The separated particles are frozen in their motion with illumination times in the nanosecond range and captured at a frequency of up to 500 images per second. To guarantee the statistical reliability of the results, millions of particles are evaluated in a shortest time.
The SUCELL/L wet dispersion system is suitable for wet measurement requirements in sample circuit. The sample is filled into a stainless steel basin and homogenized by two stirrers. The suspension is then pumped by a peristaltic pump through a stainless steel flow-through cuvette and returned to the basin. If required, the intergrated ultrasonic unit provides an additional energy input for dispersion.
The measuring and dispersing features are controlled by the PAQXOS software, which enables the simultaneous determination of all relevant size and shape parameters.
