The image analysis sensor QICPIC, in combination with the automated dry disperser RODOS/L and the microfeeder ASPIROS/L, offers reliable and fast analyses of the particle size and shape of the smallest amounts of dry powder in the size range from 1.8 µm to 500 µm.
A pulsed LED optically freezes the moving particles with exposure times in the nanosecond range, while a high-resolution, high-speed camera captures the particle projections razor-sharp and at a frequency of up to 500 frames per second. Millions of particles are evaluated in the shortest possible time to guarantee the statistical reliability of the results.
RODOS high-speed dispersion enriches image analysis with a patented combination of dosing and dispersion. To enable gentle, complete and product-specific dispersion, compressed air is used to create a dry aerosol that is blown through the light beam and collected in the aspirator after analysis.
The sample is fed with the ASPIROS dosing system. The microdosing system can be used to characterize toxic or valuable substances in small amounts up to 1,000 mg. The sample is filled into encapsulated sample tubes, which prevent contact with the environment when the measuring zone is closed.
The measuring, dispersing and dosing characteristics are controlled by the PAQXOS software, which enables the simultaneous determination of all relevant size and shape parameters.
