Product overviewKLC’s Ultra-High Temperature Ceramic immersion heaters (K-/KC-/KR-Series) heat to 1300℃ in dry air (or up to 25 W/cm²) and reach up to 98% thermal efficiency under water. The ceramic elements combine high thermal conductivity, excellent electrical insulation and strong chemical resistance in a compact form factor suitable for liquid heaters, steam generators and instant water heating devices.
Features- Excellent insulation: leakage <10 mA even if damaged.
- High dielectric strength: survives 2500 V/50 Hz for 1 minute at room temperature.
- High temperature capability: up to ~1200–1300℃ in dry conditions depending on model.
- High watt density: in water up to ~70 W/cm² (model-dependent); in air up to <25 W/cm².
- Fast heat transfer and high underwater thermal efficiency (up to ~98%).
- Corrosion resistance to acids and bases; minimal scale buildup.
- Compact dimensions (typical thickness 4 mm) and long service life.
Applications- Electric water heaters (instant and semi-storage) and liquid heaters
- Steam generators and steam heaters
- Instant hot water taps and ignition devices
- Air-conditioning heaters and HVAC components
- Packaging machinery and small appliances requiring compact high-power elements
- SPAs, solar heater supports, central heating and vehicle cold-start/warm-up devices
Application benefits- No oxidation or significant electric leakage when used as immersion heater.
- No gas emissions; reduced safety hazards compared with some alternatives.
- Very low scale formation — extended lifetime.
- Does not burst causing pipe cracks; reliable mechanical behavior.
- High heating efficiency; often no preheating required.
- Small, lightweight and easy to integrate in compact products.
- Markedly higher corrosion resistance versus typical stainless steels (test-dependent).

Other Specifications- Withstanding voltage: 2500 V/50 Hz for 1 minute without damage (room temperature).
- Current leakage underwater: normal ≤ 0.025 mA; damaged ≤ 10 mA.
- Thermal conductivity: 23–25 W/m·K.
- Coefficient of thermal expansion (0–1400℃): 3.1 × 10⁻⁶ /℃.
- Hardness (HRA): 92.0–94.0.
- Acid / alkali corrosion resistance: tested values versus sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide (see datasheet).
Installation guidance — When heating liquid/water- Ensure the element is fully immersed; partial exposure to air may cause breakage.
- After dry heating (evaporation), do not add water immediately to avoid cracks/damage.
- Ensure no adhesive residues are adhered to the product surface.
- Confirm correct rated voltage is applied for the selected model.
- Install vertically at the bottom of the container for best performance in instant water heaters; hot water outlet should be at the top and water level 30–40 mm above the element.
- To preserve dielectric performance in severe environments, consider adding a heat‑resistant rubber seal to exposed sections.
