Ceramic twisted rope is an extremely soft and flexible gasket, ideal for continuous temperatures of up to 650°C (glass-fibre reinforced) or up to 1050°C (stainless steel-reinforced). The product contains approximately 20% organic binders to facilitate the carding process. The binders burn at low temperatures, but without any effect on the special ceramic fibres. On request, it can be impregnated with graphite to increase lubricating power. Also available in the 2213 version, ceramic + glass twisted rope with brass wire yarns, and in the 2214 version, ceramic + stainless steel twisted rope with brass wire yarns. Applications Seals for stove and oven doors, coke furnaces (steel works), thermal insulation for electrical cables, seals for inspection doors.
