OverviewThe TFS series motors are equipped with an electromagnetic parking brake with a D.C. coil and a fixed braking torque. The brake supply is connected to the motor terminal board via a rectifier so the brake releases automatically when the motor is powered. Brakes with separate supply can also be fitted for two-speed motors or inverter-fed applications. The compact brake design results in a motor length only slightly greater than standard TN three-phase motors.
Construction and compatibilityThree-phase stationary brake motors are available with B3, B5 and B14 flanges. All M.T. Motori Elettrici motors are manufactured in compliance with IEC international standards.
Typical brake supplyFS brakes are standard supplied with 103 V d.c. power supply for 230/400 V (50/60 Hz) electric motors.
