Short descriptionThe PROTECHNA yarn inspector COGASTOP WEFT 3100 is a control system to detect weft thread faults on weaving machines. Slubs, double threads, knots and filamentation (capillary breaks) are detected. This is particularly important for coated fabrics because every slub is visible in the final coated product.
Main functions- Monitoring weft threads on weaving machines
- Easy to operate
Construction and functionThe COGASTOP WEFT 3100 is installed before or directly after the feeder so faults can be removed before being woven into the fabric. One or more weft threads pass through the centre of a focused light beam. When a yarn fault passes through the beam, the transmitted light is reduced; if the change exceeds the set sensitivity, the weaving machine is stopped so the fault can be removed. The inspection head is connected to the control unit via optical fibres to ensure high immunity to electromagnetic interference. Electrical connection, electronic evaluation and machine stop are performed by the control unit.
Product tour / ImagesMultiple product images and a product video are available showing installation and inspection-head details, typical mounting positions (before/after feeder) and visual examples of detected faults.
