The clamp BS105 B was designed to handle 2 drums at a time, all of them having different diameter and type (iron, plastic and cardboard). The strong securing frame to the Fem plate is made up of thick sliding pipes to get a better distribution of efforts, while the 400-mm high gripping claws are fully coated with high adhesion interchangeable rubber and are operated by a pair of cylinders. Hydraulic actuation of the clamping/release offers important advantages: first of all it allows the drums to be moved without the operator having to leave the forklift; secondly, thanks to the maximum pressure valve, the drums can always be tightened with the correct clamping pressure (neither too weak nor too high) and last but not least, from a safety point of view, the block valves located on the cylinders keep the drums tight even in the event of hydraulic pipes being cut. The clamp is simply and safely secured to the forklift Fem plate by means of the clamping bracket.
