Description

Incremental encoders have a defined number of pulses per revolution (PPR = pulses per revolution). The output signals are the signals A and B offset by 90 degrees as well as the reference pulse Z. These signals, as well as the inverted signals, are available in different configurations. RS422 (TTL) or push-pull (HTL) are the most common variants as driver outputs. Incremental encoders are highly suitable for determining speed, angle or distance measurement. Signals: A, /A, B, /B, Z, /Z
