Product OverviewThe WL2530 DC tubular pull solenoid is a compact electromagnetic actuator designed to provide controlled linear pull motion for industrial automation. Its tubular construction integrates coil, magnetic circuit and plunger to deliver repeatable inwards movement used to operate locks, latches, valves, clamps and switches.
How it works- Power applied: DC voltage applied to the coil generates current through the winding.
- Magnetic field formation: the energized coil creates a magnetic field in the magnetic circuit.
- Plunger attraction: the magnetic field draws the ferromagnetic plunger toward the coil center.
- Linear travel: the plunger moves axially into the tube housing, providing the required pull stroke.
- Load actuation: the plunger transmits motion to a latch, valve, lever, clamp or similar mechanism.
- Release: when power is removed the magnetic force falls and, if fitted, a return spring restores the plunger to its rest position.
Main Features- Compact tubular/cylindrical construction for space-optimized installation.
- Controlled linear pull force with fast electromagnetic response.
- Operates on common DC voltages (12 V, 24 V, 48 V, 60 V; custom voltages available).
- Customizable stroke, force, spring rate, mounting options and electrical connections.
- Configurable for intermittent or continuous duty depending on design.
Applications- Factory automation: locks, latches, release mechanisms, positioning systems.
- Robotics: auxiliary latching and positioning devices.
- Material handling and conveyors: gates, stops, sorting mechanisms.
- Packaging machinery: clamps, feeders, dispensers.
- Access control: automatic locks and safety releases.
- Medical and laboratory equipment: controlled drawers, valves and positioning elements.

Tubular Pull vs Tubular Push (summary)Feature | Tubular Pull Solenoid | Tubular Push Solenoid
Main action | Pulls the plunger inward | Pushes the plunger outward
Typical mechanism | Plunger retracts into the housing | Plunger extends from the housing
Common use | Locks, latches, release mechanisms | Valves, push mechanisms, ejectors
Installation | Often positioned to pull a linkage | Often positioned to push a linkage
Spring design | Return spring commonly extends the plunger | Return spring commonly retracts the plunger
Mechanical direction | Inward movement | Outward movement
Typical applications | Door locks, clamps, releases | Pushers, switches, valve actuation
Advantages- Compact solution for limited installation space.
- Direct linear pull without complex transmission.
- Fast, repeatable actuation over many cycles.
- Highly configurable (force, stroke, voltage, mounting, terminals).
- Simple electrical control compatible with PLCs and common drivers.
Disadvantages- Available force depends on plunger stroke and must be specified at operating stroke.
- Continuous energization generates heat — verify thermal design and duty cycle.
- Power consumption may be significant relative to mechanical output in some configurations.
- Mechanical wear (plunger, spring) over long life if not specified for target cycles.
- Sensitivity to dust, corrosion, temperature and misalignment if not protected.
Troubleshooting (key checks)- Verify power supply and coil continuity; measure voltage at terminals when energized.
- Confirm required pull force at operating stroke vs. application load; check plunger alignment and friction.
- Inspect duty cycle and cooling if excessive heating occurs.
- Check return spring condition and mechanism clearance if plunger fails to return.
- Assess mounting stability and end-stop design if noise or vibration is present.
