Working principleThe device supplies a controlled high voltage (0–100 kV) with system partial discharge ≤ 3 pC at rated voltage. In live operation the discharge type can be selected and parameters such as inception voltage, extinction voltage and discharge intensity can be adjusted per channel. Using conventional partial discharge detectors and wireless sensing equipment, it supports testing of multiple discharge types (GIS tip, suspension, air gap, particle, surface) and combinations thereof, enabling experiments and validation for pulse current, UHF, ultrasonic, high-frequency, SF6 gas analysis and other PD detection technologies.
