Dematic introduces AMCAP, a high performance automated system for building mixed-SKU pallets, addressing the latest requirements by customers in retail, grocery, manufacturing, food and beverage industries, extending the capabilities of the first genuine mixed case systems delivered by Dematic. AMCAP offers several advantages over other available solutions.
Item handling
AMCAPs sophisticated gripper can handle over 10,000 different items, including small boxes, cans or jars in cardboard trays, open or closed cartons, drinks, sacks and large unstable tissue containers.
Ultra-high performance & accuracy
The system achieves extremely high throughputs. Palletising continues even while pallets are being changed. The overall design delivers an ultra-high rate; working considerably faster than manual methods, outperforming all other automated systems and vastly reducing errors.
Sequenced build
Using data such as unit size, weight and family groups, intelligent software calculates the way the pallet is built based on customer needs.
High pallet stability & density
The intelligent software design of the build sequence increases pallet density. As the pallet is built it is automatically wrapped, delivering a stable pallet for transportation and allowing higher pallets, delivering reduced transport costs.
Flexibility to customer needs
The tried and tested core modules of AMCAP can be combined in various ways to meet customer requirements. It is also flexible in that it can handle pallets or roll-cages of various sizes.
These factors contribute to a fast return on investment. Dematic is ready to test various types of order pallets and invites customers to view the system.

In recent years, there have been great advances in product sales and distribution systens.
This has led food companies to have to work with their own brands and with customer brands. This has caused the entire storage, labelling and packaging process to become more complex, thereby increasing the costs. For a number of years, EZMA S.A has dedicated considerable time to studying storage problems and their possible solutions. It has thereby achiaved cost reductions and has successfully constructed practical and versatile warehouses through personalised studies for every customer.

The depalletising robot of the two types DeRo 800 and 1000 for Euro and industrial pallets has been designed for the layerwise depalletising of packages (e.g. glasses). The robot makes use of its 3 operating axes to securely place the layers on a reception table and to simultaneously remove the interlayers.
The gripper
A reliable gripping system is indespensible for the collection of complete layers. The gripper designed and manufactured by our company encloses the upper package layer and pulls it onto the layer sheet positioned behind the pallet. Back at the reception table, the complete layer is pushed back and the interlayer still resting on the packages is lifted and placed on a seperate stack.
The control system
The control system of the PARO palletising-robot system is trendsetting in the field of automatic palletising. Thanks to the simple and intuitive software layout, it is possible to operate the system already after brief instructions. The user can carry out all functions of the device via the touch-screen opearting interface by a touch of his finger.
The application of the latest control-system components, such as IPC and CAN-Bus, facilitates the integration of any kind of periphery into the PARO-Control system (bar-code scanner, scales, conveyor systems, etc.).
DeRo is qualified for an application in pharmaceutical industry and can serve several pallet sites. In the development of the system, great emphasis was placed on the application of low-maintenance components. The three axes of
the robot are driven by maintenance-free servo motors. The robust and simple kinematics reduce maintenance costs to a minimum.

Function
Layer by layer a fully loaded pallet is split into single packages or cartons. A picking conveyor approaches the "gap" under the top layer of the pallet. The TGW grip-roller (patent pending) on the front end of the conveyor enters the "gap" and raises the first row of packages and transfers the complete layer, row by row to the adjacent belt conveyor. The entire layer is then transferred to the subsequent conveyor system before the grip-roller positions below the next layer and continues the process until the required number of layers have been "split" from the pallet.
Product Integrity
Each package or carton is fully supported accross its base surface throughout the entire process. This support prevents product damage and enables the system to handle the widest possible range of packaging materials.
During the de-palletizing process the pallet load is also secured by lateral supports. These securing plates support the top two layers of the pallet from three sides throughout the layer splitting process.
Technical Data
De-palletizes layers of SKUs accross the widest range of packaging materials including trays, shrink-wrapped foil, cartons or sacks
- performance: 35 pallets per hour
- maximum weight per single package or carton: 0.5 - 35 kg
- maximum weight per layer: 250 kg
- noise level 72 dB(A)
