InduMedical™
InduKey® introduces first anti-microbial keyboard with Microban protection
The InduMedical™ keyboard represents another milestone in data input systems: the first antimicrobial industrial keyboard with Microban®’s active protection against bacteria, yeast, mold, mildew and fungi that cause stain, odors and product degradation.
InduKey®, the global leader in industrial input solutions, introduces the InduMedical™ keyboard, which features an antimicrobial design foil for data entry with Microban® technology. The specially treated front cover actively protects against most common bacteria, molds, and fungi. The InduMedical™ is intended for use in hygiene sensitive environments for medical, pharmaceutical and food processing applications. Its active protection against microbes makes equipment easier to clean and keeps it cleaner and safer between cleaning as recommended by GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) systems.

The InduProofmedTM keyboard is the latest addition in the InduProofTM product line of NEMA6P fully sealed keyboards.
The InduProofmedTM keyboard features an antimicrobial silicone covering the entire keyboard. The specially treated silicone inhibits the growth of microbes on contact. It works continuously to maintain a consistently lower bio-burden than would be expected on a product without anti-microbial protection.
The InduProofmedTM can be disinfected using standard industrial cleaners and disinfectants. The entire keyboard can be submersed in liquids. The InduProofmedTM can be paired with an InduMousemedTM silicone-encased optical mouse with the same anti-microbial properties.
The InduProofmedTM and InduMouse medTM are intended for use in hygiene sensitive environments for medical, pharmaceutical and food processing applications. Its protection against microbes makes equipment easier to clean. The keyboard surface stays cleaner and safer between cleaning as recommended by GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point).
The InduProofmedTM uses low profile keyswitches with carbon-on-gold contact elements for tactile feedback and reliability. The keyboard is completely protected against dust, dirt, grease and liquids to IP68/NEMA 6P. The keyboard surface can be cleaned and disinfected by submersion into disinfection liquids. Both InduProofmedTM and InduMousemedTM are available in PS/2 and USB versions.

We disign and manufacture membrane keypads and front membranes to meet your individual requirements - if necessary, integrated in supporting plates or pre-fitted on our enclosure.
Optimal quality can be achived for every use on the basis of copperlaminated supporting membranes or strip conductors applied using the silk-screen process.
Depending on your needs we can supply you with your own individual membrane keypad with fitted touch screens, displays and other electromechanical components.
Printing is by means of silk-screen or digital methods, according to the number of colours and the requirements in repect of visual design. Our membership of the specialist keypad association ansures that we are always ur-to-date with the latest technology, so we can always meet our customers' needs in the best possible way. The membrane keypad products which we market are components and are not subject to the ElektroG (the law relating to electrical and electronic equipment and applicances) or to the national laws or the WEEE/RoHS. Consequently we are under no obligation to register. |

User-friendly, flexible membrane switch keyboards that are long-lasting (>6 million actuations), reliable and cost-effective.
The Clicktouch process produces a thermoformed polyester foil with “elastic” spring zones enabling extended key travel. Circuit layers are printed on polyester substrates with special silver, carbon and insulation links, with additional protection against oxidation provided by over-printing with carbon.
Advantages over conventional membrane and metal dome based keyboards:
•Significantly reduced contact bounce (<2 ms)
•Long key travel (up to 2 mm) providing improved tactile feedback (even when operated by someone wearing gloves, a clear click can be sensed)
•No metal parts, resulting in a longer switch life and greater reliability.
Clicktouch retains essentially the same ergonomic performance as standard mechanical push buttons, but is also:
•Dust-tight
•Water-tight
•Chemically resistant |

The standard line of polyester keyboards features all the experience and know-how of GRAFOS. The efficiency of this kind of products, meeting the needs of having a complete and ready to use product, is guaranteed under hard demand. They are available in several models - 33 to 104 keys version- and are used above all for applications of Industrial Automation. There are different models for different applications: from frame to panel version, from desktop to drawer version and finally rack version. Membrane keyboards promise a pleasant palpation feeling with tactile feedback, security and precision during the data input, also by the use with gloves; the polyester front plate is resistant against numerous chemical active substances. In the side photo an example of 87 keys frame version of reduced dimensions and, as pointing option, a plastic trackball.

The Trio membrane keypad is a single unit which brings together all the elements required for an effective man machine interface in one package. This minimises the time taken to mount and connect to other Trio Motion technology control system products.
The unit consists of an IP65 keypad featuring 37 tactile keys, eight of which can be defined by the user and identified by inserting key legends from the rear of the keypad. Incorporated into the units is a four line by twenty character, vacuum fluorescent display. Connection to the control system is via a fibre-optic cable to the Master Controller. The interfacing is handled by dedicated built-in network interface software. The only other connection necessary is for the power supply. |

CTS is a capacitive detection technique that is suitable for various applications. The CTS keypad consists of a front plate on which a capacitive sensor is mounted at the back. Keys are controlled by means of a custom IC with dedicated software.
The front plate can be made of polyester, acrylic glass, glass, or other non-conductive material, and can be printed or not. Dependent on the type of material, it can have a thickness of up to 20 mm.
When using a transparent sensor, capacitive keypads can serve as digital touch screens. The panel can offer a total protection and does resist a high degree of vandalism.

|
EAO, the expert for Human Machine Interfaces, has in its product range some touch-sensitive keyboards which are extremely tough, versatile and cost effective.
The keyboard operates from under a transparent protective screen that resists cleaning agents and fluids, moisture and dirt ingress, and damage from shocks and impacts , making it suitable for a wide spectrum of applications located in:
• aggressive environments polluted by dust, grease or ink particles suspended in the air, e.g. printing machines.
• sterile environments cleaned using ultrasonic techniques, e.g. medical equipment.
• hygienic environments cleaned using pressure washing, e.g. food packaging equipment.
• explosive atmospheres which must be free of contacts and electro-static discharge.
• public areas susceptible to vandalism, e.g. public-access internet kiosks.
The keyboard is extremely thin, which allows it to be mounted in existing machines. What’s more, the keyboard layout can be designed and configured out-of-box to suit different applications by using the simple-to-use proprietary software. The customer can vary the position of function keys according to their specific needs and alter the sensitivity of the keys according to the material of the protective screen. There is a choice of standard keyboard layouts for 10 different languages, a feature which makes the EAO touch-sensitive keyboard suitable for use across the world.
The keyboard, available with PS2 or USB interface, is compatible with both PC and Apple Macintosh operating systems. |
