Besides the metal-enclosed precision switch of the RET series, BARTEC also offers a series of limit switches with plastic bodies. The enclosure is made of shock impact resistant proof plastic providing an IP 67 protection class according to IEC 60529. Due to its format several limit switches can be mounted in tandem formation requiring very little space. This allows a multiple triggering of switching operations. The connection cable is equipped with a strain relief device, prewired and safely cast into the enclosure by means of epoxy resin. We supply this robust limit switch with a standard length of 3 m; special lengths are available on request.
The integrated switching element changes over via NC contact with positive break operation. Operator protection corresponds the the GS-ET 15 requirements. Its high vibration resistance and long life are the result of a most extensive laboratory research. The certification for hazardous areas and the high protection class granted thanks to its structural characteristics are the ideal prerequisites for its use in almost all fields of automation, mechanical and high-tec engineering.

The SIM08 connection box provides an optimal solution for connecting all type of cylinder end-stroke switches, with the following advantages:
Security. Front and rear signals are usually joined in two series. Yet, this solution doesn’t provide any protection to an eventual double signal or connection error and make it difficult the identification of a broken switch. The SIM08 box is equipped with an alarm to any double signal and a led light for each switch permits a fast detection of a non-working switch even if the signal is in series.
Versatility. The box can be fixed directly on the mold. From the box to the press machine there’s a unique connector (IP67 water resistance) with a 5 mt. cable. On the other side of the cable the end user can connect any type of connector - as per his Company standards - with min. 6 pins.

Planetary gear cam limit switches
Series 51
Standard switches
51 series geared cam limit switches are universal mechanical switching devices that have been designed for use in conjunction with cam discs based on a specific angle of rotation for indication of a large number of shaft revolutions. These cam discs serve to operate mechanical contacts. Geared cam limit switches are used wherever specific ranges of travel cannot be directly limited by switchgears but only indirectly via measurements of the angle of rotation. A classic example of such an application is limitation of the hook travel of crane hoisting gear.
Especially where there is a danger to persons and the use of positive opening switching contacts is required according to VDE 0660 T200, EN 60947 T5-1, IEC 947-5-1, the use of geared cam limit switches is the most efficient alternative.

The Series 1995A PLS was designed for use in rotary applications. It incorporates many features for safe, efficient operation. The completely self-contained unit can operate up to 30 independent outputs (six standard) based on the rotary position of the resolver. It offers an on-line "fault check" that provide an automatic, in process mechanism to verify that all major programmable limit switch functions are operating properly. The "fault check" output can be energized by activating the fault-check enable input. The output is a mechanical relay that is energized during normal operation, having 1 N.O. and 1 N.C. contact. Can be used with our Series 1986 Resolver Assembly.

The Series 2000 Rotary Limit Switch is primarily used for machine tools, handling devices, and rotary operators where motion is expressed in shaft rotation. The primary purpose of the switch is to control the intermediate or end limits of a linear or rotary motion. The switch is often used as a safety device to protect against accidental damage to equipment.

Geared limit switches
Geared limit switched are combinations of appliances consisting of an input shaft, gear reducer, signal transmitter and limit or safety switches. If desired, encoders, resolvers, power interfaces or potentiometers can also be integrated.
We differentiate between three types:
- FEL, FRL, FDL, etc. are geared limit switches in 90 mm flanged versions.
- KW are assemblies for installation in a housing, in response to the customer's wishes.
- KWG are geared limit switches in square or rectangular housing formats.
- MR200 are geared limit switch solutions for special applications.

The Series 1980R combines a resolver based signal off of the existing camshaft. Many press operations are now being fitted with automation equipment that requires limit switch outputs. While most press control outputs remain unchanged from die to die, the automation outputs frequently require adjustment. The Series 1980R Cam/Resolver package provides the safety and reliability of mechanical cams for press control circuits. The industrial grade resolver supplies the input to a programmable limit switch that provides the automation other frequently changed outputs.

Limit switches are necessary for the independent delimitation of movements at cranes, lifting witnesses and similar transporting equipments. A further application results for the execution of monitoring and tasks of bolting device. The rules for the prevention of accidents require that with powered lifting gears the upward motion must be limited by a limit switch. It must still permit the downward movement after its responding. With corridor-served gantry cranes with stationary control stand limit switches are prescribed for the crane and crab traversal. The limit switches are implemented with transmission, spindle or lever drive and can switch their full achievement up to 600mal per hour.

Worm gear cam limit switches
Series HGE
Standard switches
HGE series geared limit switches are universal mechanical switching devices for industrial applications.
They consist of a reduction gear and one or two contact spaces containing the switching contacts and the co-ordinated cam discs.
By the reduction gear a number of revolutions, which are transmitted to the input shaft of the geared limit switch, are reduced to an angle of rotation at the cam disc of max. 320° (with 40° cam discs).
Then the adjustable cam discs actuate the mechanical switching contacts.
By utilisation of mechanical switching contacts with forced separation to VDE 0660 part 200, limit switches are preferably used in the hoisting technology.
For that purpose the entire mechanical construction from the input shaft up to the contact bridge is positively driven. The only exception are the cam discs "V", which are fitted when particularly required by the customer, and the block adjustment.
Construction
* In relation to the reduction, the gearbox is designed either as worm gear or worm spur gear.
* All gear parts are made of metal and are lifetime-lubricated with high-quality gear lubrication Spectron F00.
* All housing parts consist of seawater-proof aluminium.
* The input shaft is made of stainless steel.
* Input shaft and switching shaft are ball bearinged.
* In relation to the number of contacts, the contacts are located in one or two switching spaces.
* With one switching space only, right-side or left-side arrangement to the input shaft can be selected optionally.
