The pneumatically operated Gemco Retractable Sleeves are designed for the dustless transfer of solids from one processor to another. These Retractable sleeves are available in telescoping rigid designs (usually stainless steel), or flexible professional boots, (usually white Neoprene). The telescoping models are used for one-way flows and flexible models used for bi-directional flows. The two manufacturer of pneumatic cylinders of the Retractable sleeve can be controlled locally, remotely or by automatic sequencing. Block Clamps
Jergens StayLock Block Clamps are multi-purpose utility clamps designed for many versatile applications. Block Clamps may be mounted for either vertical or horizontal clamping. They may be used with strap clamps or similar workholding devices for maximum adaptability (see illustration below). The Block Clamp plunger has a 1/4 - 28 thread on the I.D. for use with various contact points.
Retractable Clamps / Proximity switching
Jergens StayLock Retractable Clamps are designed to allow quick change of molds in supplier of injection molding machines and die casting equipment. The locking arm, which retracts into the clamp body for easy loading and unloading of a mold, is adaptable to clamp many standard mold slots. The Retractable Clamp is double acting and includes alternate clamp and release ports for easier hydraulic plumbing set-up. A Proximity Switch, which indicates the Retractable Clamp is in the extended or retracted position, is also available (see below). |

Snap-Trap clamps can be fitted in seconds, reducing installation time by up to 80% compared with some alternative systems which require the assembly of up to 12 parts. Already widely used in the Norwegian sector, the clamps are highly resistant to corrosion and comply with the NORSOK offshore standard. Just two sizes of Snap-Trap handle the spectrum of metric and imperial instrumentation tubing diameters up to 25mm/1inch, avoiding the specification, purchasing, stocking and day-to-day handling overheads associated with existing systems - which can require anything up to 24 parts to provide the same solution.
A new dedicated professional fitting tool is now available for easily opening and closing the clamp's ratchet-based clamping mechanism - improving ergonomics compared with the option of using a bolting to apply the required pressure.
Made from stainless steel, Snap-Trap is a square component with a U-shaped body and a hinged top arm. As the arm closes, it progressively grips the tubing using a ratchet-style mechanism. The flexibility of this action allows each clamp to accommodate a wide range of tube sizes. The smaller 27mm-square Snap-Trap accepts 6 to 12mm or 1/4 to 1/2inch tube sizes; the larger 47mm-square clamp accepts tubes of 12 to 25mm or 1/2 to 1inch.

Low-profile vices come in two basic models, one with a single-wedge and the other with a double-wedge construction. In addition, we offer a line of machinable jaw models for workpieces of irregular shape and a special model for casting and wire EDM applications
Standard models come with a hardness of 48-52 HRC and the jaws are serrated or smooth, depending on model. Both the wedge and the jaws are made of tooling steel and are through hardened. Fastening operation involving one suppliers of bolt (M5-16) ensures quick set up times.

Each FMS vise can be vertically assembled thanks to extra keys on the base and with the use of a purpose base plate to be ordered extra (Art.827). FMS vises could be back to back or side to side or cross assembled. By the way, FMS jaws never stick out from the base.
Of course solid Multilfex visecubes bodies for Horizontal Machining centres could be also supplied as standard items, which offer the possibility to reduce the number of set up given that, they allow to machine workpieces not only on the front side, but also on their lateral sides during the same work cycle.
Specifically designed for Horizontal machining centres are cubi morsa Vise Towers or Vise Cubes: a solid structure allows, with the max rigidity, to get, in a vertical way, all the types and options already seen horizontally.
In such way all six sides of a typical prismatic workpiece can be machined in only 2 clampings. All this also increases the accuracy of the operations.
Of course even single Multiflex vises can be vertically assembled with proper reference points and supports. Vertical Machining Centres can be equipped with dividing tables in order to get the same result too (lateral sides operations). |
