When it comes to manufacturing of rings, ring rolling is the process of the future. A revolutionary progress which doesn't merely stop at the elimination of chips from production, but which enables new standards of quality to be achieved.
The working principle is characterized by a driven die (roll) for the outer profile and a free rotating die (mandrel) for the inner profile which is being pressed up by supporting rolls.

ASTRO CELL it is designed to be the perfect automatic bending system. The ROBObend-Center integrates a folding machine with a robot. The innovative software integration design automatically programs the robot using the part program data. As in all folding technology, the blank remains in a horizontal plane during the entire folding cycle. The ROBObend-Center uses simplified material handling to be much more productive.
Mounted onto a linear axis, the robot gains additional work area. The robot directly feeds the material into the machine. Optical sensors measure the position of the part and sends feedback to the CNC so that the robot can instantly correct any inaccuracy. After the blank is parallel to the bend line, the "CNC freezes the robot". All six robot joints will be locked in position. This seventh axis now moves the robot forwards and back in order to bend flange-by-flange with perfect accuracy.
When the robot positions the blank, it is in an extremely stretched position. The ROBObend-Center therefore can run sheet sizes of up to 3000 x 1500 mm and can fold sheet thicknesses of up to 3 mm.
When the part needs to be flipped RAS uses an innovative method. Where re-gripping stations are usually needed, the ROBObend-Center robot can position the part to the bend line, holding it from either the top or bottom of the part.

Each machine cell consists of a feed system that lifts metal sheets from an incoming stack and loads them into the machine rollers for forming.

Frequent profile changeovers while maintaining the same high profile quality?
This is no problem for a P60/90. Thanks to a compact quick-change stand system, a tooling change can be carried out quickly. A precisely adjusted tooling stand is available for each particular profile. The advantage: No adjustments need to be carried out after tooling change. This type of machine is particularly popular with foam-filled roller shutter manufacturers, who appreciate the same high quality offered by this machine - even for difficult profile forms.
Additional foam-filling, punching or welding are easily integrated in the P60/90. Manufacturers have availed of these characteristics for many different and unforeseeable applications.

The RAS 22.07 SpeedySeamer with seven rollforming stations is a multi-functional and cost-efficient machine for varying uses in the HVAC ducting industry. The top of the line RAS 22.09 SpeedySeamer is a 9-station high quality system. Both machines are designed for sheet thicknesses up to 1.5 mm mild steel. The profiles can be as high as 20 mm and the machines reach a speed of 16 m/min.
The machines can have two sets of rolls set up at a time. This allows to have a set of Pittsburgh Rolls on one side and a set of Standing Seam Rolls on the other side. The same could be done with a set of Snap Lock Rolls on one side and Cam Standing Rolls on the other. The rolls are made from the highest quality case-hardened special steel. For additional safety the sheet support tables can be adjusted to the different run heights of the right and left roller set.
The wear resistant and hardened entrance guiding system is not in contact with the usually plasma-cut material edges. Graved run-in sheet support tables thus belong to the past. Blanks stiffened with Z-seams can be processed easily, as the material guiding system uses downhold pins in the squaring arm.
