Newport Corporation announces the innovative, Oriel Sol3A™ solar simulators, the latest addition to their family of photovoltaic test and measurement solutions. These large area, constant wave (CW) sources use a xenon lamp and feature a proven, proprietary filter to meet all three Class A performance parameters (spectral match , non-uniformity of irradiance, and temporal instability of irradiance) without compromising the 1 sun output power. Each version is certified to the IEC 60904-9 2007 edition, JIS C 8912, and ASTM E 927-05 standards. Newport's new solar simulators are available in sizes from 2 x 2, 4 x 4, 6 x 6 and 8 x 8 inches, making them ideal for the test and measurement of solar cells.

Bio-Fighter® VersaLight

The OAI stand-alone UV light source systems consist of a stand-alone light source, a constant intensity controller, and a shutter controller.
The Model 30 LS is a highly efficient light source intended for a variety of applications.Light is collected by an ellipsoidal reflector and focused on an integrating/condensing lens array to produce uniform illumination at the exposure plane. This UV light source is available in various beam sizes up to 16 inches and output spectrums from 220 nm to 450 nm. An appropriate lamp included. Output power ranges are from 200 watts to 5 kW. All light sources can easily be equipped with quick change filter assemblies, allowing the user to easily customize the output spectrum. Optional remote exhaust fans are available.

The PX-2 Pulsed Xenon Lamp is a high flash rate, short-arc xenon lamp for the UV (220-750 nm), for applications requiring absorbance, reflection, fluorescence and phosphorescence measurements, and especially for measuring optically or thermally labile samples.
The PX-2 operates at speeds up to 220 Hz, offers excellent pulse-to-pulse stability, and has two trigger modes for software control of the flash rate.

General overview :
The VUV5000 UV source is the most intense He-light source on the market. At the same time, it has the narrowest line width. The photon source is based on a He plasma, generated with the ECR (Electron Cyclotron Resonance)
The VUV5000 UV source includes the following components:
VG SCIENTA VUV5000 UV Source
This is a very high intensity, narrow bandwidth He radiation source with a total VUV flux of more than 2 x 1016 photons/sr s. It includes the VUV5050 source head and the VUV5011 microwave generator. The microwave guide components are also included. The VUV5000 UV-source is optimized for use with the VUV5040 monochromator, but it may also be used stand alone with a capillary VUV light guide to the sample.
Emitted radiation using Helium gas with >99.999% purity:
- 304 Å (41.8135 eV), FWHM 10 %)
- 537 Å (23.08 eV), FWHM < 1.2 meV (~ 8 %)
- 584 Å (21.2182 eV), FWHM < 1.2 meV (~ 82 %)
Guarantee: The VUV5000 UV-source produces 2.0 microA using a 2.8 mm I.D. capillary, -15 V bias and Al photocathode.

The AvaLight-DH-S is a combined Deuterium and halogen light source, which can be used for UV/VIS/NIR applications. The AvaLight-DH-S has a SMA905 connector to be used with fiber optic cables and bundles. For optimal coupling an adjustable focus lens assembly is included. The light source supplies a continuous spectrum with high efficiency and highest stability in the UV, visible and near-infrared range from 215-2000 nm.
The Avalight-DH-S was developed based on the shine-through principle, in which the halogen light is focused through a small diameter aperture in the deuterium bulb.
For UV only applications the AvaLight-D-S source (only Deuterium) is available.
The standard AvaLight-D(H)-S light sources have a special UV longpass filter (>220nm) implemented to protect the fibers from solarizing. For applications that require a spectral range below 220 nm a Deep UV bulb is available, in which no UV longpass filter is included. For these Deep-UV measurements (from 190nm) the AvaLight-D(H)-S-DUV may be ordered.
For all Deuterium Light Sources solarization resistant fibers (-SR) are recommended, for the DUV lamp special solarization resistant fibers (-SR) are required (see the fiber optic section of our website).

The MX650 is a high intensity, monochromatized Al K? x-ray source package consisting of the XM-780 x-ray monochromator and the SAX-100 x-ray source.
