RELIABLE and STABLE mixing and saturation
Designed for extremely demanding clients, with 1 pump, 2 main tanks plus an additional tank for the syrup, the MIXJET guarantees reliability, user friendliness and stability of the final product, even in critical production conditions. A carefully researched deaeration system enables residual oxygen levels in the product to be kept under 1ppm. Independent of temperature and pressure values, carbonation is kept constant and stable, thus reducing waste of CO2. Water and syrup flow rates are measured using extremely precise micrometers to keep values constant, thereby guaranteeing to the client a high quality product.

For optimised particle size distribution: The Nebulasizer
The NARA Nebulasizer is designed to optimise the particle size distribution of soft granulates and extrudates. This standardization is possible both with wet and dry granulates.
During the process the oversized agglomerates will be reduced in their size and simultaneously fine-grained resp. dust particle are applied on bigger agglomerates. In one step the coarse particles are eliminated and the fine particles are agglomerated, but without an unwanted crushing. A following process step like sieving is not needed.
Because of his simple layout the machine is easy to clean, why the Nebulasizer is of interest for the pharmacy and the food processing industry in equal measure.
The GMP construction consists of a minimum of components with a highly polished surface that makes disassembling and cleaning in no time.
Besides the stainless-steel construction there is also an alternative for heavy industry available. This construction is able to convert building material like moulding compound or ceramics.
Nara’s especially developed innovative principle of comminution minimises the shearing strain of the particles, so that a crushing of particle size is not given.
Because of the screenless construction a breakage of the screen is out of the question.
The Nara Nebulasizer is now available as a milling tool in the new generation of Nara-Pharmamills. It can be integrated perfectly into existing productions.

VORTEX %u2013 HIGH SHEAR MIXERS FOR WET GRANULATION
The Vortex high shear mixers are designed to perform wet granulation processes, combining active products and excipients by adding a binder solution.
MAIN CHARACTERISTICS
- Granulation process is carried out very quickly thanks to the high energy transmitted to the product by the turbulence caused by the combined action of impeller and chopper blades.
- The impeller has a special design to reduce product sticking to the blades, and can be easily removed for cleaning.

IBC Mixers
Mixing in Intermediary Bulk Containers (IBCs) can be a challenging task. With the restricted opening and problematic vessel geometry it is difficult to find a mixer which can operate efficiently in these containers. Conventional agitators can provide adequate in-tank movement at low viscosities, but they are generally less effective and can be difficult to clean.
The Silverson Ultramix is designed to provide solutions to challenges such as this. The small diameter dynamic mixing head provides vigorous in-tank mixing, even at higher viscosities, eliminating dead areas in square vessels. This also reduces power requirements and simplifies cleaning – the Ultramix is designed for CIP (Cleaning-in-Place) and complies with 3A, USDA and cGMP requirements.
To further enhance the capabilities of the Ultramix in this application Silverson has designed a mixing station for use with IBCs. The unit incorporates a number of safety features and is available as either a mobile model which can be moved between vessels, or a floor/wall mounted station for operation in a designated area. Various levels of automation are available from safety interlocked manual operation to fully automated systems.

Fristam has developed a flexible powder mixer based on the shear pump. This universal unit was specially designed to dissolve/emulsify and homogenise wet and dry ingredients into fluids.
Supported by a base frame, a self-priming centrifugal pump is connected to the shear pump via a pipe joint. Via a funnel, the powder is added to product stream and then homogenised with the help of a shear pump.
A table at ergonomic operation height facilitates manual powder feeding.
If equipped with the according control systems, a powder mixer can also be attached to a fully automated system. If required, adapters for automatic and semi-automatic feeding via big bags, screw-conveyers and other conveyer systems can be delivered.

The Ψ-Mix® inline disperser combines a new dispersion method, in which the solid components are wetted on a large liquid surface, with emission- free, dust-free inline operation. The combination of vacuum dispersion, shearing and pressure wetting results in homogeneous, fine dispersions with very reproducible quality – all at high efficiency levels in a controlled process.
Because the machine is suitable for processing both low- and high-viscosity suspensions, it covers the complete spectrum of applications for dispersion technology. In addition, the design of the mixing zone makes it possible to process temperature-sensitive or dilatant materials.
Compared to conventional rotor-stator systems, this machine uses considerably less energy to disperse your products. The Ψ-Mix® is also easy to integrate into fully-automatic production lines for the manufacture of large batches and is particularly well suited and specially adapted for emission-free and explosion-proof operation.

The mixing unit Remix 2000 ensures a continuous mixture ratio of the de-dusted EPS recycled material to the new EPS material. The mixing ratio of the recycled material to the new material can be set infinitely variably from 5 to 95%. This is determined through different rotating speeds of the cellular sluice and is controlled by means of a speed regulating device. The filling level in both dosing chambers is monitored using photocells.

YTRON-VacuPlant is a modular, multi-purpose system. It may be equipped individually according to specific requirements. The application of vacuum de-aerates the product already during the process of powder incorporation. The use of the integrated YTRON-Y jet mixer ensures the product is quickly and intensively mixed and heat exchange is optimised in the area of the vessel walls.
Processing higher viscosities above approx. 30.000 mPas typically means an additional anchor stirrer with a scraper is used.
The YTRON VacuPlant draws the solids in, disperses or dissolves them, respectively, de-aerates, emulsifies, and heats or cools in an efficient way, if required. All components of the system are ideally sized to offer optimum performance.
Sizes ranging from 70 l to 4.000 l are available in the standard production range.

Paddle Blenders consist of a U-shaped horizontal trough and a fabricated paddle agitator. The paddle agitator includes multiple paddles positioned to move materials in opposing lateral directions and radially. The paddle design is normally applied where friable materials are being blended and when batches as small as 15% of the total capacity are going to be mixed in one blender. Paddle designs are available in working capacities to over 515 cu.ft. capacity.

PML (Planetary Mixer, low speed) and PMH (Planetary Mixer, high speed) planetary mixing and kneading machines operate according to the planetary system. They are used for thixotropic and high-viscosity products.

The Double Planetary Mixer includes two blades that rotate on their own axes, while they orbit the mix vessel on a common axis. The blades continuously advance along the periphery of the vessel, removing material from the vessel wall and transporting it to the interior. After one revolution the blades have passed through the entire vessel, after three revolutions most materials have been mixed and after only 36 revolutions, the blades have contacted virtually the entire batch.
