Baldor's line of brake motors are available in totally enclosed fan cooled, open drip proof, or explosion proof designs, in either single or three phase. Stock ratings are available from .25 horsepower through 30 horsepower. These motors use a mechanical spring set brake with a manual release. Brake motors may be used on machine tools, conveyors, door operators, speed reducers, hoists, or any application requiring quick stops and positive holds.

MS and MY series Transtecno motors are closed and fan cooled.
MS series includes induction threephase 4 poles motors
230/400 Vac at 50 Hz and 275/480 Vac at 60 Hz, 4 poles; it
covers power sizes from 0.09 kW up to 1.5 kW. These motors
run quietly and are dinamically well balanced; they match
quality, strength and cheapness.
MY series includes induction singlephase motors 230 Vac at
50 Hz and covers power sizes from 0.09 kW up to 0.75 kW:
they are particular suitable to be mounted on machine for low
power applications.As well as MS series motors, they match
quality and cheapness.
Both series are made in aluminum frame and are available
with B5 or B14 flange mountings.
Standard features for both the series are:
• Class F thermal insulation
• IP55 enclosure protection
• PTO thermostat for overheating protection
• Phases separators between windings: this feature
makes these motors particularly suitable for use with
variable frequency drives.
MY series motors have a large terminal box, which includes

Delphi ATDC series self-braking motors use spring-pressure brakes, firmly spliced onto a cast iron shield at the back of the motor.
These motors include:
+ The hand release lever that permits to release the brake, making it possible to move the shaft.
+ The separate brake power supply that is achieved, whenever needed, by connecting directly to the brake terminal board located inside the motor terminal box.

The asynchronous motors of the series 13.710 are compact and space-saving. Available in a power range from 12 to 90 W, these motors are naturally ventilated. Since they do not have a fan they have low noise emissions and can be applied in production areas with fluff or dust. The motors are available with solid shaft and keyway, with flange mounting and can be fitted with a brake.

Armstrong HE Series motors are general purpose polyphase squirrel cage induction motors meeting all required NEMA and IEEE standards. In addition to numerous in-factory sampling motor tests to verify and improve designs, motors were tested at Hydro-Quebec’s independent motor testing laboratory in Canada. Armstrong HE Series TEFC motors from 1 hp to 100 hp currently meet or exceed the efficiency requirements of the US Energy Policy Act of 1992 (EPAct) and Natural Resource Canada Standards (NRCan).
For assurance of low motor vibration and noise levels, dynamic balancing on every rotor and alignment checks are performed on the production line. We stock and build high voltage motors of the squirrel cage or slip ring type, typically for nominal voltages between 3 kV and 11 kV. Custom constructions deviating from these specs are available for nominal voltages of up to 13.8 kV. Standard frequencies are 50 and 60 Hz.
