The V-1 balancer is ideal for mass production. Standard vertical machines incorporate a precision spindle on which components like flywheels, clutch assemblies, textile spindles, nylon pots, turbine wheels etc. can be mounted and balanced. Simple loading arrangements and correction of unbalance on the machine by drilling etc. result in low production times.

Innovations in balance measurement, corrections, transfer, and data collection systems greatly enhance machine performance. An example of this is Hines patented A.C.E. (Automatic Correction Enhancement). With ACE turned on, the computer monitors the initial and final unbalance, then makes adjustments to the correction routine. Just leave the machine running and performance is constantly optimized!
Excellent correction ratios were not enough for our customers. To make this exceptional performance easier to quantify, we developed an internal statistics package to monitor and analyze the balancing process. Turn the internal statistics package on and you will have continuous data collection.

Hines Industries has strived to make balancing easy. In keeping with the company philosophy of tailoring the machine to meet customer needs, we have developed an array of automation features. Selections range from the simplest hand loaded and operated balance audit machine, to computer assisted manual correction, to auto-correction, to fully automated machines with automatic transfer and unbalance correction. Workpiece handling and transfer systems include everything from simple lift and slide to more complex pick and place operations. Automated corrections include drilling, simple and complex surface grinding, milling (including a three axis mill that traces an arc), welding, epoxy dispensing, and weight insertion, just to name a few.

The Hines HC Balancer can be used for both single and two plane balancing. This "universal balancer" can be configured with the proper tooling and correction modes to accommodate a variety of parts up to 10,000 lbs. The stanchions are moveable to accommodate parts of varying length.

The Hines HO (Horizontal Overhung) Balancer can be used for both single and two plane balancing. The configuration supports workpieces on a built-in spindle. Pulleys and shafts and special drivebelts are not needed. This allows for easier and quicker part handling and tooling than conventional balancing machines. Unbalance corrections are displayed on the first spin of a new part.

The Hines HVR (Vertical Rotating) Balancer can be used for both single and two plane balancing. The configuration is suited for quick top loading of shaftless, flat parts. The unique suspension makes balancing fast and easy with superior separation of pure force and couple unbalance.
