WITT gas Non-return Valves protect equipment, pipelines and outlet points. Varying from 0.004 bar - 40 bar (0.06 - 580 psi) and flows between 0.010 m³/h - 3.000 m³/h (0.35 - 105925 SCFH) with any wanted connection. Nearly every application will find a solution when gas return has to be prevented.
Some non-return valves are flashback safe in accordance with EN 730 when natural gas and air are mixed, which can be mounted in nay position and do not require gravity.
|
|
|
WITT safety devices are used to protect single cylinders, outlet points or pipelines against gas back feeding and flashback and meet various National and International Standards e.g. EN730. Appropriate checks are made by the certification authorities - BAM, TÜV and Underwriters Laboratories etc. Pressure control systems, points of use and complete energy supply systems (MECS) incorporate these devices.

Pilot-operated check valves of the series CP allow free flow in one direction.
The counter-flow direction is blocked. By applying the pilot pressure, the poppet can be lifted from its seat against the pressure. Thus flow in the counter-direction is also possible. There are 1 and 2 stage poppets available with pilot ratios of 1 : 5 and 1 : 40, to suit different operating conditions.
|
|
The check and pre-fill valves type F utilize a spring pre-loaded valve head.
The check valves type F enable free flow in one direction and block the flow in the opposite direction.
This valve is used as a high flow valve (check valve with hydraulic release) in top ram presses for quickly draining and replenishing press cylinders during opening and closing in rapid traverse mode. The smaller sizes may be equipped with a pre-reliefe device as an option to prevent pressure surges during decompression (high volume and high pressure surge).

High Pressure. These valves are 316 S.S. ball type and soft seat (PTFE ring) in the 1/4 NPT, 1/2 NPT, 3/4 NPT, and 1 NPT sizes; Brass poppet on S.S. seat in the 2 NPT size. Control springs hold approximately 3 PSI. Optional higher pressure springs are available in the 2" NPT unit only.
|
|
The check valves permit flow in one direction only; the operation of the valve is based on the movement of a small disc. The disc shifts within the housing as the pressure differential changes from forward to reverse. A flat surface on one side of the disc seals off flow, while the other side allows flow to pass.
The check valves offer low "cracking pressure" and a minimum differential forward flow, less than 0.005 PSI in the standard units.

CHECK VALVES
ART. 001
The check valve has been one of the strong points of Ratti’s production. In fact, article 001 was the first product developed back in 1974.
This valve is filed from a full sturdy 316L bar of European certified make.
The valves have cylindrical gas female die connections, and the diameters available are as follows:1/4”, 3/8”,1/2”,3/4”, 1”, 1.1/4”, 1.1/2” and 2”.
Inside the valve his piston is supported on two points, in order to keep excellent alignment during any assembling position; these two supports are furnished with special millings to allow the passage of fluid with as least loading losses as possible, in comparison to the classic “drilled disc”.
The standard capacity of the valve is made in certified PTFE but it is also available in silicone, glass, copper or stainless steel upon request.
ART. 048
This valve was projected by Ratti to facilitate the dismantlement and cleaning process, in observation of pharmaceutical and bio-technologic plant regulations.
Innovation is the result of the use of an auto-aligning PTFE piston, and the conic support spring.
They are the only components present inside the valve.
The internal finishing is strictly lower than 0,4 Ra, the external part of the valve is polished and laser-marked indicating the direction of the assemblage, the dimension of the valve, the type of steel used, and the number of the tapping from the steelworks.
The semi-bodies are joined through a Tri-Clamp connection and they are filed from a sturdy 316L stainless steel full bar of European certified make.
The dimensions available are as follows: 1/2, 3/4”, 1”, 1.1/2”, 2” and 2.1/2”.

Bestobell have a range of check valves available in either bronze or stainless steel, these are all fitted with a swing return allowing for use in any position. The PTFE seal incorporated into the valve disc ensures a drop tight shut off at ambient temperatures. Wide openings also allow high flow rates at low-pressure drops.
All materials used are selected for their suitability to function at cryogenic temperatures. All valves are cleaned and degreased for oxygen duty.
