OSG is pleased to introduce the new CBN Ball End milling tool. CBN (cubic boron nitride) follows diamond on the hardness scale, making this ball nose end mill ideal for finishing applications in hardened steels up to 70 HRC.
This end mill features a ground CBN tip brazed to a solid carbide shank. When compared to solid carbide cutters, the OSG CBN Ball End Mill lasts up to 10 times longer in finishing applications.
In addition, the OSG CBN Ball End Mill incorporates a 180-degree cutting edge and a ± 5-micron radius tolerance, providing extremely fine surface finishes.

CC6065 and CC6060
New round inserts offer the perfect team for success in medium to roughing operations used mainly for the aerospace industry. Round inserts in grades CC6060 and CC6065 increase the available HRSA supplier of cutting tool assortment from Sandvik Coromant, while also bringing the advantages of ceramic grades which are able to run at 4-6 times the speed of conventional carbide inserts. CC6065 is the ideal solution for high temperature alloy machining on good quality forgings with some ovality. Improved machining results through increases in feed rate can be achieved with a stronger insert and edge line to elevate component quality. CC6060 is optimized for productivity benefits when it comes to larger diameter components and longer lengths of cut. With its excellent notch wear resistance, this grade also provides the confidence to machine at higher depths of cut than other ceramic grades currently available and is able to cope with higher feed rates
Xcel
A radical new tooling solution for machining of titanium alloys and heat resistant super alloys materials is now being introduced by Sandvik Coromant. The new and patented Xcel tool provides a host of design advantages when semi-rough turning into shoulders, not previously available from a single tool. |

Sandvik Coromant’s new GC1125 grade lives up to the demands of the leading parting and grooving tooling system, CoroCut® 1-2 edge and is now the first choice to achieve improved performance in parting, grooving, turning and profiling operations in a wide geometry range.
The optimization of properties for this grade delivers a wider application area and the capacity to handle improved cutting data. GC1125 has a good all round ability and provides the means to improve performance in a wide geometry range across many parting, grooving, turning and profiling operations. It is the first choice for application in steel and stainless steels and excels when machining cast iron and HRSA materials.
These advantages result from a technological breakthrough in coating and substrate technology. The combination improves wear resistance and security, either when running at higher cutting speeds or for a longer time in cut. The coating is new, PVD with TiAIN layers, including properties designed for the GC1125’s wide application area. New, fine grained substrate optimised for steels and stainless steels has improved hardness and supports increases in cutting data.
GC1125 is a simpler option, enabling machine shops to do more with one grade. Its wide geometry range offers improved performance to a larger number of machining operations.
In parting, it is optimised for steels, stainless steels and HRSA materials, a first choice in CF and CR geometries. CF is the low feed choice, giving excellent chip control and surface finish, CR the strong geometry for parting off bars and interrupted cuts at high feeds. |

Hammer tips
Hammer tips can professional drill any stone type except for brittle material because of the shocks they provoke. Hammer tips are fixed on professional tool shanks.
Masonry tips
Masonry tips can drill by percussion any material but armoured concrete. They are fixed on a cylindrical tool shank and mostly used for light machinery. In the near future, there will be more and more cordless machinery.

| Drill tips can be referred to as professional drills for woodworking. Drill tips are first profiled then ground by toolmakers in order to make holes for professional hinges, wooden dowels, tenon joints, ... |

A radical new tooling solution for machining of titanium alloys and heat resistant super alloys materials is now being introduced by Sandvik Coromant. The new and patented Xcel tool provides a host of design advantages when semi-rough turning into shoulders, not previously available from a single tool.
Xcel features the accessibility and easy programming of an 80 degree insert along with reduced wear compared to a square insert used at 45 degree entering angle.
- Reduced notch wear and faster cutting speeds than rhombic inserts
- Ability to machine into corners to produce complex shapes
- Greater accessibility in confined spaces
- Possibility to machine in two directions
- Reduced radial forces and constant chip thickness compared to round inserts
Two insert sizes are now available to suit depths of cut from 0.5 to 3 mm in intermediate stage machining. They are offered in three grades, all proven performers in ISO S materials. |
|
Features:
- Excellent stability and cutting performance Innovative tooling for the grooving application.
- High performance potential due to compact and rigid design
- Excellent reliability due to the tight clamping of the insert
- Maximum tool life - central coolant supply through the manufacturers of clamp straight onto the insert. |
|
Sandvik Coromant is now extending its premium program of sawing tools for parting and grooving which will, no doubt, have great influence on machining productivity.
CoroCut 3 brings a third cutting edge to the shallow parting of tubes, bars and grooving operations. The extremely small parting widths in 2,0, 1,5 and 1,0 mm facilitates will reduce the raw material usage considerably.
The insert is held securely by a unique clamping solution ensuring accurate location and easy to use. This in combination with very tight indexing tolerances will produce workpieces with very close length tolerances.
Two dedicated insert geometries ensure peak performance and excellent surface finish in all workpiece materials. The very same holder can be used for all insert widths giving maximum versatility. |
