Type A and Type B
The two drive types are controlled by a simple cable remote control with up/down keys. We recommend Type B for high loads. The engine and the control are built into the housing. The transformer (230 VAC, optionally 110 VAC) is attached on the outside of the housing. The cable remote control (2 m cable length) is installed below the table edge at the desired location, and can be pushed under the table top.
Typ C
On drive Type C different heights can be memorized and automatically selected. The memory board also has a digital height indicator. The infrared remote control is available as an alternative to the memory board. The power supply (230 VAC, optionally 110 VAC) is integrated into the control unit. The memory board (2.5 m cable length) is installed below the table edge at the desired location, and can be pushed under the table top.

The Hyponic geared motor is based on 60 years of experience in the development and manufacture of gear and drive solutions. To date there are over a million Hyponic geared motors in service. The latest generation is characterized by a more compact design, a modular system, maintenance-free operation and universal installation positions. With the IP65 (wash down) option, the Hyponic is an ideal solution for beverage bottling plants and food manufacture. Hypoid gearing technology in case hardened steel, patented by Sumitomo, provides high efficiency and is far superior to the customary worm gears due to gear ratios from 5:1 to 1440:1. The Hyponic gear combines the cost advantages of the worm gear with the technical characteristics of a bevel gear.

All AMETEK brushless DC motors and blowers require a motor/blower controller to operate. Many of these AMETEK BLDC motors and blowers feature a built in, integrated controller that takes the DC input from a power supply or battery and processes it into phase drive signals that are used to commutate the motor. Motors and blowers that require low voltage DC input (11 to 52 volts) that do not come equipped with an integrated, onboard controller, require one of the external controllers described in this section.

The DECS 50/5 (Digital EC Controller Sensorless) is a new controller for driving brushless DC motors without Hall sensors.
Typical sensorless drives such as pumps and fan applications can now easily be created thanks to modern technology and expert integrated controlling algorithms. maxon's own in-house developed speed controller is particularly impressive through its performance, price and size.
As well as being a top performer, attractively priced and very small, the new amplifier's other key feature is that it can be easily adapted to specific requirements. The free choice of starting sequence is a major benefit, as it allows the attached motor to start up easily, even when the motor data or load ratios are unfavourable. The DECS 50/5 also provides control inputs for selecting motor direction, enable and braking. As usual, the necessary protective functions have all been fully implemented. An operating status display (LED) and speed monitor output complete the convenient control features.

To control the speed of the DC motor gradually, smooth DC voltage across the armature of the motor needs to be regulated along with the fixed DC voltage across the Field winding in the case of the 4 wire DC motors. The DC drive featured here, generates the variable DC voltage using phase angle control technique incorporating Diode / SCR rectifier. The DC voltage across the armature winding can be smoothly varied using the potentiometer or using the external control signal of 4-20mA or (0-5)VDC. Models are available for 1/8HP to 5HP DC motors operating on 100VDC to 400VDC.
APPLICATIONS
Suitable for small machines in Plastic, Packaging and Pharmaceutical industries where smooth and steady control over DC motor is required
