Application
In the high pressure circuits of hydraulic and lubricating oil systems.
Performance features
Protection
against wear: By means of ultra-fine filter elements that meet even
the highest demands regarding cleanliness classes and
dirt-holding capacity.
Protection against
malfunction: By means of permanent filtration in the off-line circuits
excellent cleanliness classes can be achieved.
Special design features
Cover: The cover can be opened without special auxiliary tools.
Because of the cover design the filter element can be
changed almost without losing any oil.
Flow control valve: Over the flow control valve the FNS off-line filters are
connected directly to the high pressure pipe. The surplus
volume (e. g. in circuits with fixed displacement pumps)
from the high-pressure circuit is cleaned by the ultra
fine filter element.
Dirt
retention valve: Ensures that dirt accumulated in the filter is removed
together with the element. Settled dirt cannot return
into the system.

Off-line filtration is in many cases the only feasible principle to achieve the required system cleanliness in fluid power systems. Off-line or kidney loop filter units consist of a circulation pump coupled to an appropriately sized and selected oil filter. The oil is circulated through this external filter system independent from the existing or non existing flow in the main system.
The programme comprises small compact standard units as well as customised subsystems of variable sizes.
Off - Line filter BNF series
Interchangeable DIN filter elements
Low noise emissions
Easy installation
May also be used for filling and draining the reservoir
Compact dimensions and easy to install either on the tank top or side. DIN elements provide qualified system cleanliness.

The DUO3 off-line oil filter increases the availability and reliability of hydraulic and lubricant oil systems. For optimum oil filtration performance, more often than not filtering takes place in off-line circuits, where the oil filter can operate 24 hours a day independently of the main system, avoiding any changes in pressure and flow.
Fields of application
Typical fields of application include hydraulic systems, lubricating systems, hydraulic presses, injection moulding machines and machine tools. When rebuilding a system we recommend installation of an off line oil filter.
Design
Its low noise level and compact size make the DUO3 ideal for use in many different machines and working environments. For uniform and good circulation and oil filtration, the DUO3 has been fitted with a low pressure pump from our QPM range. This pump has few moving parts and is designed to have a long service life and consume little power.

Fuel Manager Style Filters
Baldwin Filters design incorporates a removable, all-metal, self-venting drain valve into the filters assembly for full compatibility with OE designs. All OE drain valves, sensors and bowls may be used with the Baldwin design.
The Baldwin Design
Baldwins design removed the OE raised Ckeys to allow universal fit on multiple OE fuel bases.
This makes filter installation easier as no alignment to the mounting head is necessary.
All primary filters are painted red, while all secondary filters are painted white. This color coding helps determine, at a glance, that the proper filter is being installed.
The metal drain valve adds versatility of use on both standard and marine applications.
Baldwins removable self-venting drain valve is standard on these filters; however, the filter can be used with the Baldwin drain or removed for use with the OE sensor or bowl.

Active Carbon
Carbon Bed Filters are of vertical fabricated construction generally mounted on skirts.
In operation, the process fluid enters the filter above the bed, through the inlet nozzle and via radial distribution lateral, designed to ensure an even flow distribution over the top surface of the carbon.
The contaminated medium passes through the granular activated carbon bed, where the impurities are attracted to the very high surface area of the Carbon.
The carbon bed is supported on a graded 'Silex' base consisting of a course and fine layer of which will fully support large volumes of carbon.

Each filter houses bag type elements mounted onto a division plate and held positively in position by means of snap rings.
The elements are manufactured from man-made cotton fibre and offer high dirt holding capacity combined with a low maintenance costs and quick change out of filter bags, making this a cost effective means of filtration.
The filter bags are fully supported in robust stainless steel support housings, and will meet the levels of efficiency corresponding to your requirements.

The MonoScour filter is a heavy duty, high rate gravity filter designed for treating high turbidity loads and difficult particulates such as those typically encountered following chemical treatment with polymers and coagulants. It is particularly useful following clarifiers, lime softeners, in wastewater applications, cooling tower side stream filtration and all other gravity filter applications where high filtering rates are required.
The MonoScour filter is fully automatic and incorporates a self-contained backwash compartment that eliminates the need for backwash pumps and tanks. It also includes a vigorous air scour step to efficiently clean the filter media while minimizing the volume of backwash water consumed.
The Monovalve gravity filter is the predecessor to our Monoscour Filter product line.

The BHS-Rotary Pressure Filter is a continuously operating filter of pressure-tight design. This makes it ideal for processing volatile and hazardous products as well as for sterile processes.
Extensive subsequent treatment processes are possible, such as cake washing in one to five stages with or against the direction of flow, solids/liquid extraction, steaming, blow-out, intermediate suction, subsequent hot drying and many others. The BHS-Rotary Pressure Filter works on the principle of cake filtration and is designed for the following operating parameters:
# Pressure differences up to 6 bar
# Cake thickness up to 185 mm
# Operating temperatures up to 160°C
# Filtration capacity range 200 to 50 000 l/m²h
# Solids content from 0,5 % by weight
# Main grain size distribution 5 to 200 µm
|
|
|
The BHS-Pressure Plate Filter is a pressure filter that operates on an intermittent basis and is used primarily for separating solids/ liquids in average to poor filtering suspensions with relatively low solids content, for adsorptive filtration processes (adsorption through filter cake) as well as for clarifying filtration.
|
|
The BHS-Autopress can be used for separating moderate to poor fil-tering suspensions efficiently. Media that need to be treated in closed machines for reasons of sterility, toxicity and workplace hygiene are se-parated safely and reliably.
If required, you may also treat the cake by washing, extraction, pressing blow-out and drying. Low cake thick-ness, complete filtration without heel volume and an ex-ceptionally low level of residual moisture in the pre-dried cake ensure extremely high throughput rates.
The highly efficient cake washing process occurring in the BHS-Auto-press produces an absolutely pure product without inter-mixing. The encapsulated version (for pharmaceutical products and in GMP design) can also be used for filtering toxic or volatile media.
The BHS Autopress is made up of the following principal compo-nents:
# horizontal stack of filter plates
# movable filtration housing
# scraper

Filtermist collectors are low-cost, highly efficient units. These easy-to-install accessories operate under the principle of centrifugal impaction. A rotating drum draws air and mist droplets into the collector. The mist particles are coalesced into liquid which is drained back to the coolant tank. Clean, oil-free air is returned to the shop.
