ADVANCED DRIVING... with our new Heavy Duty Driven Linear System
High loads, demanding duty cycles, hostile operating conditions and ease of installation are the criteria around which Hepco's new Heavy Duty Driven Linear System (HDLS) was designed.
The distinct operating benefits which its features provide over conventional re-circulating systems are certainly accentuated by arduous application. Overhead gantries and steel beam drilling machines are typical examples of where our HDLS system excels.
Now this versatile family of Heavy Duty components has been extended to include a new driven option, the Heavy Duty Driven Linear System. This complements the rack and pinion drive option already available. The new addition is a belt-driven system with two bearing options - 64mm diameter for high load applications and 95mm for loads up to 40kN.
High and super high loads
So what does it comprise? The base unit incorporates single edge commercial 'V' slides mounted onto the beam with the slides positioned at the outer beam edges. Between the two slides is a continuous 50mm wide AT20 belt, firmly attached to the moving carriage. And if the application is really tough, a 75mm wide belt can be specified.

The dry-running, maintenance-free spindle lift tables are equipped with iglidur® bearings and permit a multitude of different combinations of materials for the spindles, housings and shafts. Thus the igus® spindle linear systems can be optimized for your special application with regard to weight, costs and installation space.
DryLin® toothed belt axes have been developed for the quick positioning of small loads. The linear units with toothed belt drive are corrosion resistant, light and compact, besides having a low mass inertia due to low deadweight of guide and carriage. |

The linear actuators are integrated modular systems containing all the components required for operation.
The guidance systems in these linear actuators are based on linear ball bearing and guideway assemblies of series KUE, KUVE or KUSE or on track roller guidance systems of series LF or plain guidance systems. These are driven by means of a ball screw drive, toothed belt or direct drive (linear motor).

1/2 through 250 ton actuators to choose from. Housings are constructed of a durable aluminum alloy up to 1 ton and ductile iron / steel alloy for higher tonnage linear actuators. Load screws are precision formed of high strength steel to provide optimal performance. Gear nuts are high alloy bronze for exceptional wear and are supported by tapered roller bearing to provide both axial / side support. Complete systems designs and CAD drawings provided.

Rexroth develops its system mecatronic CAMOLINE:
Rexroth proposes a system mecatronic without precedent: This one integrates products which already proved reliable in many fields: Compact linear modules and modules, with drive by ball screw or timing belt, aluminum profiles with parts of assembly and interfaces, of the carts, modules of rotation and pneumatic grippers, the servo-motors with control and controls of axes, as well as cable chains.
From the process of the customer Rexroth has the means placed at its disposal thanks to its technologies '' Drive and Control '': search for solution, studies (mechanisms, automata,...), provisioning, assembly, adjustments, in order to deliver a unit meeting the definite needs for the customer. This one is finally released from all these long and expensive tasks, between the design and the tests. Lastly, maintenance is not remains about it because all the assemblies are carried out with rings of centering which ensure rigidity, precision and perfect interchangeability of the components. |

Linear guidance systems with linear recirculating ball bearing units comprise ball bearing units, carriages and guideways. They allow large support distances, have adjustable clearance and are to standard accuracy class G3.
The full complement bearing units run on one or both sides of the guideways and, despite their small dimensions, have high load carrying capacity. If the bearing units are screw mounted in carriages, together with the guideways they form four-row linear recirculating ball bearing and guideway assemblies. The ball bearing units are sealed on all sides by the wipers on the end faces and on the sealing strips which form a gap seal in conjunction with the guideway. Linear recirculating ball bearing units can be relubricated.

Linear roller bearings are suitable in conjunction with guideways for locating/locating or locating/non-locating bearing arrangements and form a bearing arrangement system for linear motion with unlimited stroke length. In closed arrangements, they can support loads from all directions and moments about all axes. Their load carrying capacity is extremely high and the space required is very small. The guidance systems can be preloaded by adjusting gibs and have extremely high rigidity when preloaded.
Since the guidance elements have a versatile range of possible arrangements, linear recirculating roller guidance systems are suitable for numerous applications in general machine building, especially for linear guidance systems in machine tools where high guidance and positioning accuracies are required over long traverse distances.
The range is supplemented by adjusting gibs for precise setting of the preload, setting devices for measuring the deformation of the adjacent construction where preload forces must be supported and adapters for easy mounting of the linear roller bearings in a 45° arrangement.
