A drum motor is a motorized pulley where the body rotates around a stationary shaft. The rotating outer drum becomes the drive pulley which powers the conveyor belt.
In simple terms it is a highly efficient geared motor, totaly enclosed within a steel shell. Unlike conventional drive systems, the BDL drum motor has no chains or V-belts to tighten or replace, no sprockets to align, clean or lubricate, no bearings to grease, and does not require chain guards. lt is a simple - yet small and powerful - integral motorized pulley that is guaranteed to power your belt conveyor for years without breakdown. All gearing is made of high alloy steel, not plastic. The BDL drum motor is lubricated for life and needs no oil change. The Motor-Roller is driven by an oil-cooled motor, that guarantees long life. The motor can be build with an intern or extern magnetic break that will be mounted with another conveyor roller of that section.
The Motor-Roller Type 850-89 is a Power Pack. With this Motor Roller pallets of 1000 kg can be transported. The drive system is especially for low construction heights, turn-tables and tramming cars.
