Instead of using thermosetting resins as in traditional pultrusion, this process employs a thermoplastic matrix.
In addition to their very high strength and stiffness, thermoplastic pultruded profiles produced via in-line co-extrusion also offer the advantages of greater impact and abrasion resistance, thermoforming, dual component extrusion, and the bright color finishes typical of thermoplastic profiles. |
