Not all tachometers are the same, and this is certainly true of the AI-Tek Instruments tachometry line.
Designed with severe industrial environments in mind, these units will provide reliable around the-clock operation for years under adverse conditions. AI-Tek Instruments is a leader in manufacturing this type of instrument. Our prices reflect the design, quality, ruggedness and engineering of the equipment. What you really get with AI-Tek Instruments is a superb price performance ratio. It may not initially be the least expensive equipment available; but, in the long run, the value of this equipment is that it will outperform and outlast others.
Introduction of the New Generation Tachometer Line
The new generation TACHPAK and TACHTROL series tachometers have been designed with all of the functions and durability embodied in the previous tachometer series as well as improvements to extend performance, accuracy and function. Both TACHPAK and TACHTROL now share a common processing platform. This commonality allows both to perform identical tachometry functions, streamlines programming and minimizes the learning curve. The main physical difference between the two is the characteristic integrated display function found in all TACHTROL series tachometers.

Rheintacho hand-held devices
Rheintacho's tried and tested hand-held units record rotational speeds and run lengths. Some of them use a proximity system by shining a light beam on a reflective mark; others use a contact system with special adapters for different applications.
Redpoint hand-held digital tachometer
The redpoint hand-held digital tachometer is a compact measuring unit for proximity measurement of rotational speed.
It focuses a beam of light at a thin sticker attached to the object, which reflects it at the speed of rotation. The result appears immediately on the 5-digit LCD. The distance between the redpoint and the test object can be up to 600 mm.
Rotaro digital hand tachometer
The rotaro digital hand tachometer is a device for measuring rotational speed and velocity, as well as length. The compact device has two measuring methods. One is optical, and therefore non-contacting; the other is mechanical using an adapter and various probes.
The mechanical method uses a contact probe, which is directly attached to the axis of rotation. A measuring wheel is placed on the adapter to measure velocity or length.

The TACHPAK 30 computing tachometer is a dual channel instrument. It measures input frequency and converts the resulting quantities to an analog output, utility RS485 communication, 2 solid state and 2 mechanical relay functions.
The TACHPAK 10 computing speed switch is the same as the TACHPAK 30 but excludes the solid state relays, analog output and the utility RS485 function.
These instruments will accept a wide range of AC or DC power and have greatly improved accuracy, processing speed and response time. They can be used in rate period or counter mode.
The simplified programming can be done in the field or office via PC/Windows-based TACHLINK or with the addition of a TACHTROL plus remote display. Security mode guarantees unauthorized access to programming changes.
Typically, the new TACHPAK 30 or 10 are used with magnetic sensors as a signal source. However, they may receive sine wave or square wave TTL signals from any frequency source including phase-shifted frequencies from bi-directional Hall sensors to indicate change in direction.

When using the non-contact mode, rotational speed (RPM) is measured using a visible beam of light. The HH100 can be up to 14 inches away from the small piece of reflective tape that is affixed to the rotating element. In the contact operating mode, the speed is sensed by directly contacting the rotating device using one of the contact adapters supplied with the instrument. In other applications where surface or linear speeds are to be measured, the universal wheel is used for direct readout of feet/min, meters/min, or inches/min, as selected by the end user.
The HH100 can also be used to measure the accumulated total of continuously running material such as paper, wire being wound on a spool, or to check the calibration of on-line counters and totalizers.
The HH100's rugged construction, portability and outstanding features make it an ideal choice for maintenance personnel, machine operators or others in a wide variety of machinery and material handling applications.
The HH100 uses the latest microprocessor technology and is backed by an industry leading, two-year warranty.
Features:
- Measure speed as low as 1.00 rpm and as high as 99,999 rpm
