Suspending your power tool above the work surface with a tool stand and balancer reduces clutter, increase tool and cable life, and improves operator efficiency. Mounting the tool in a torque arm takes the torque reaction force away from the operator's hand.
Tool balancers, used in conjunction with our tool stand or existing overhead support, will keep your screwdriver at the ready, leaving your work area clear when the driver is not in use. These balancers are easy to install and adjust. Choose the appropriate model to suit the weight of your screwdriver.
All models have a maximum travel of 6 ft (1.8 m).

Aero-Motive® balancers allow the worker to move the suspended tool or object up or down with very little effort. Depending on the spring adjustment, object will remain in position or retract when no force is applied. With a spiral groove on a tapered drum, the winding radius is increased to match the torque buildup of the spring, thus neutralizing it and achieving a balance condition.
Standard Duty Balancers offer full featured tool support at an economical price. Maximum weight up to 24 lbs/ 10.9 kg.
Heavy Duty Balancers are built for higher impact resistance & long-term, continuous use. Maximum weight up to 100 lbs/ 45.5 kg.
Severe Service Balancers provide the support of production tools in the most demanding applications. Maximum weight up to 200 lbs/ 91 kg.

The COL range provides weightless suspension for loads from 0.7 to 55 kg. COL 1 has a 2 mm polyester rope and COL 2, 3, 4 have 2.5 mm stranded steel wire. Every COL balancer is equipped with an automatic braking system. The braking system makes it possible to completely connect or disconnect the spring force to or from the load.

Compared to the traditional handling devices such as hoists and pneumatic manipulators, the Intelligent Assist Devices by Scaglia Indeva provide relevant advantages:
Precise positioning of the load as they allow for accurate and rapid movements, while traditional handling devices overtravel, bounce and require lots of little corrective movements that reduce productivity.
Intuitive control: It features the “float mode” control or “hands on manipulation”, without actuating the control handle. It makes the most of the natural human ability to coordinate and control motion, thus allowing for a more intuitive control that means a more precise and quicker positioning of the load, especially when this has to be placed in a narrow target as gently as possible.
Improved ergonomics and no effort required. Thanks to the microprocessor based control, the system supplies energy to win inertia both during acceleration and braking.
Speed: IADs respond swiftly, yet smoothly to human touch; the operator notices no time lapse between the machine’s sensing and its response.
Automatic and immediate compensation to weight: it allows handling loads with different weights or loads that vary their weight during handling (emptying out containers) with no stop times at all for turning selector.

Profi Tool Balancers PTB 7.2 and PTB 21.2 are solutions from Hofmann for balancing of tools or tool holders with standard conical spindle interfaces (SK, HSK, Capto etc.). The tools are precision-clamped in the spindle of the vertical hard-bearing (force measuring) balancing machines using suitable adapters. The available unbalance measuring systems convert the measured unbalance into all common practical units for unbalance compensation in one or two planes. In addition the unbalance measuring system MC 10 of the PTB 31.2 supports calculation of the permissible residual unbalance according to DIN 69888.
* Features
o Precision spindle for highest accuracy of measurement and repeatability
o Standard high-precision chucks for conical spindle interfaces (SK, HSK, Capto etc.)
o Hard-bearing (force measuring) balancing machine with permanent calibration
o Measuring system supports all common methods of unbalance measuring system
o Line laser module for precise marking of the correction angle position
o Calculation of residual unbalance according to DIN 69888 (option MC 10 PTB)
* Applications
o Balancing of tools and tool holders
o Balancing in tool holder manufacturing
o Balancing in tool maintenance shop
o Balancing of tools per DIN 69888
o Balancing of rotors without their own shaft journal , e.g. grinding wheels, blower wheels etc.

|
The SITEMA Safety Brake type KSP is designed to hold a vertical moved mass in one direction (against gravity). The holding is done on a round shaft. This could be an already existing cylinder rod or a separate rod. The Safety Catcher can also be used to catch the falling load in case of an emergency-stop. The holding force is relatively big in one direction (downwards) and in the other direction (upwards) relatively small.
Safety brakes are already used in the following applications
- vertical or diagonal machine tool axes
- vertical axes of loaders

Kaller Stock Lifters are mainly for use in progression dies.
These units have an extremely robust design that can withstand high side loading.
They therefore allow stock / guide rails to be attached directly to the piston rod.
They can also be mounted upside down in progression dies and used to attached stripper plates without the need for additional guide elements.
