DION® 9100-700 is a thixotropic and pre-accelerated Bisphenol-A epoxy based vinyl ester resin. This resin exhibits high water and chemical resistance, particularly towards acids, alkalis and oxidizing agents. The resin is designed to offer high resistance towards blistering from osmosis.
The outstanding all round properties make it particularly suitable for use in Marine/ Swimming Pools as both a skin and bulk laminating resin but also in Industrial production of tanks, process equipment and constructions subjected to high static and dynamic loads.
APPLICATION
The incorporated accelerator system combined with NORPOL PEROXIDE 11 or Butanox LPT minimize the foaming normally occurring when using MEKP, and gives relatively short gel times and rapid curing. Recommended laminate thickness applied wet-on-wet is 1-5 mm.
DION® 9100-700/710 is especially formulated for hand lay-up and spray-up requirements and impregnates both glass, carbon and aramid fibres rapidly. It is easily worked and will minimize drain off making it ideal for large, vertical applications such as boat hulls.
FEATURES BENEFITS
• Epoxy based vinyl ester resin
• High mechanical properties
• Excellent chemical resistance to a wide variety of corrosive environments
• Good crack resistance
• Good fatigue resistance
• Excellent hydrolytic stability - Very low water absorption
• Low viscosity - Improved glass fibre wet-out
• Good curing - Good final cure even with relatively long gel times

DION® 9400 is a non-accelerated, Novolac epoxy based vinyl ester resin. This highly cross-linked resin has a high heat distortion temperature and exceptional chemical resistance, particularly towards chlorine containing media and organic solvents. Typical uses are filament winding and hand lay-up of reinforced plastic tanks, pipes and process equipment. The higher heat distortion makes it outstanding in higher temperature applications.
APPLICATION
DION® 9400 is especially formulated for hand lay-up, pultrusion and filament winding applications, and impregnates both glass and aramid fibres rapidly.
