Overview
ONYX Outdoor is an outdoor automatic full-height slatted gate that controls bidirectional pedestrian access using a single-passage detection system. It replaces traditional turnstiles where controlled, single-person passage and perimeter security are required.

Operation
On authorization from access control, the door cycle opens in the direction of travel. Passage widths available: 600 mm (intermediate opening), 900 mm (full opening for PRM / 1 UP) and 1400 mm (logistics / 2 UP). The detection system identifies single passage and detects users on bicycles or scooters for soft-mobility compatibility.

Emergency evacuation
In evacuation mode, wing doors open automatically in the evacuation direction. Doors can also be pushed open when a green manual release in the secure zone is activated to allow unobstructed exit.

Design
Compact, full-height design suitable for integration with external fencing. Integrated low‑power LEDs indicate status and help manage pedestrian flows visually.

Customization
Exterior finish in thermolacquered steel customizable across the RAL range (examples: RAL 9005 textured black, RAL 5000 blue-violet gloss).

Safety
Presence sensors arranged over the full height ensure single-person passage (side-by-side or single file). Mechanical floor locks improve resistance to forced entry. Designed for outdoor installation under cover; optional anti-freeze heater and surface treatments are available for exposed sites.

Options
Optional integrated battery backup: approximately 3 hours at 100% operation and 10 hours in standby. Can be installed individually or in battery configuration to increase throughput.
