Operation
Friction type heavy duty clutch engages with air pressure, spring released when air is exhausted
Torque is linear in response to air pressure applied
Mounting
Through/Mid Shaft or End of Shaft
Heavy duty clutch slides on the shaft and is fixed with set screws and a customer supplied key
Anti-rotation arm required to prevent rotation of the air housing
Heavy duty clutches are designed for horizontal mounting. If vertical mounting is required, consult engineering for options
Applications
Heavy duty clutches are suitable for Connect/Disconnect and Cycling applications
Maximum RPM varies by model. Please consult the detail sheets (below). Consult engineering if the intended application exceeds the listed maximum RPM.

Splined drive and toothed friction discs for heavy duty service
Available with either high or low* coefficient friction linings for same price
Machined pilot for easy mounting of pulley or sprocket
Additional Information
Mach III heavy duty clutch units are solidly constructed with splined drives and toothed friction to provide reliable power transmission. The clutch pilot is machined for easy mounting of a sprocket or pulley in the field, or, Mach III can provide a sprocket, pulley or v-belt sheave pre-mounted on the heavy duty clutch when it ships from our factory.
