ST's ACS™ and ACST switches have been specifically designed for home appliances and industrial control purposes. The switches use the breakthrough ASD (Application Specific Devices) technology.

The switches provide safety in accordance with IEC 61000-4-4 and 4-5, and don't require any external MOV protection thanks to its built-in overvoltage protection against unusual transients.

Direct drive through a microcontroller is enabled by logic-level devices, and at the same time high switch-off capability is kept consistent.
