The Boston Shearmill is a heavy-duty inline homogenizer and wet mill. It surpasses the capabilities of conventional shear pumps and colloid mills by providing very high throughputs at extreme shear rates. Depending on the application, the BSM is capable of milling of soft particles to <1 micron, or hard particles down to 1-2 microns, often in just a single pass Designed to run 24/7, the Boston Shearmill will mix, disperse, emulsify, pulverize, macerate, crush, homogenize; reduce solids particles with minimal dust formation; and withstand uneven flow patterns, jolts, and pressure fluctuations. Configured with up to three sets of shear heads for a total of nine shear zones, several model variations and shear head types are available. The Boston Shearmill combines the well-proven rotor-stator principal with the latest innovations in seal design and bearing support technology. Outperforms others in its class and so rugged that downtime is reduced to an absolute minimum.
