The mobile filtering unit UNI 4.2 is studied for the extraction of welding smokes and dust from grinding, sanding and manual plasma cutting. The unit is provided with 2 cartridge filters in antistatic polyester for a high filtering efficiency (M 99%) and with an automatic cartridge cleaning system by counter-current compressed air. Suited for dry welding fumes only – no oily fumes. UNI 4.2's powder-coated steel casing gives strength and durability to the machine, while maneuverability is guaranteed by built-in pivoting castors and handles. The positioning of the high-performance centrifugal fan downstream of the filter stage in a special soundproof compartment allows to reduce noise levels and to have only clean air passing through the fan. The unit has a user-friendly digital control panel with alarm log and self-cleaning function monitoring. The Pc board is located in a clean chamber off the airflow circuit. Filter section The unit is provided with 2 cartridge filters in antistatic polyester for a high filtering efficiency (M 99%). The automatic filter cleaning system by compressed air allows to save time and money by increasing filters life. A deodorising active carbons post-filter can be added. Also, a pre-coating treatment is available on demand and it is recommended in case of use for manual plasma cutting beyond 2 h per day.
