OverviewAGRIPAK introduced extrusion lines for the production of plastic hollow-profile sheets marketed under the trade mark CARTONPLAST®. These lines produce first‑quality twinwall/corefluted sheets from PP, EPP (Expanded PP), HDPE and PET in multiple thicknesses, weights, widths, rib profiles and colours suitable for industrial packaging, advertising and building applications.
Product range and productionOur CARTONPLAST® extrusion lines produce 1st quality corefluted sheets with the following typical ranges and options:
- Thickness: from 2 to 25 mm
- Weights: from 250 to 4800 gsm
- Widths: from 1200 to 4000 mm
- Rib shapes: straight, sinusoidal, triangular, etc.
- Colours: any (custom colour capability)
TechnologyHollow-profile sheets are produced by extrusion through a T-die-head fitted with an interchangeable spinneret/die for quick die changes. This design reduces initial tooling investment and minimizes downtime during production changeovers.
CARTONLITE® (EPP series)AGRIPAK developed the CARTONLITE® series for production of Expanded PP (EPP) hollow-profile sheets by compounding standard PP with Chemical Blowing Agents (CBA). These lines are engineered to ensure homogeneous foaming across the full sheet width.
Advantages of Expanded PP (EPP) hollow profile sheets- Improved surface smoothness for display and advertising uses
- Enhanced impact strength for packaging and construction
- Higher energy absorption for protective packaging and building components
- Excellent chemical resistance for construction applications
- Low thermal conductivity for food packaging
- Easy sealing for interlayer pads and food packaging applications
Applications and convertibilityCARTONPLAST® sheets are widely used in industrial packaging and can be converted into reusable or flat-storage boxes of various shapes and sizes using automatic case-makers with slotter or flat & rotary die cutters. Sheets are printable (flexographic, screen or digital), and can be joined by heat sealing, hot-melt, staples or adhesives for packaging, display, building and technical applications.
