VT Series Vortex tubes solve many industrial cooling and heating problems using only compressed air as the energy source. No moving parts, no electricity, no Freon. Function: The Vortex tube processes ordinary compressed air that flows into two streams of air, one hot and one cold. Hot air exits one side of the tube and cold air the other. A control valve on the hot air outlet adjusts the difference in temperature and flow rate between the incoming compressed air and the outgoing cold air.
