CTOS is an expanded beam fiber optic connector designed for harsh environments and tactical military applications. It features contactless expanded beam technology and a hermaphroditic design enabling blind mating and gloved handling. CTOS is suitable for singlemode and multimode operation and supports up to 4 channels. Drums and media converter solutions are available for system integration.

Functional & environmental notes
Expanded beam design increases the optical beam cross-section to improve tolerance to contamination and misalignment. Protective windows simplify field maintenance. The connector supports both digital and RF signal types when configured in singlemode. Robust mechanical design supports repeated mating cycles and shock/drop resistance.
