Product overviewCTOS is an expanded beam fiber optic connector designed for harsh environments and tactical military applications. It features contactless expanded beam technology and a hermaphroditic design enabling blind mating and gloved handling. CTOS is suitable for singlemode and multimode operation and supports up to 4 channels. Drums and media converter solutions are available for system integration.
Key features- Singlemode & multimode operation, hermaphroditic fiber optic connector, up to 4 channels
- Expanded beam technology for contactless transmission in harsh environments
- Protective window for easy cleaning
- Qualified to NATO / STANAG 4290
- Designed for gloved handling and blind mating
- European manufactured and ITAR-free
- Drums & media converters available
Applications- Battlefield communication
- Ground vehicles
- Military avionics
- Harsh industrial environments (railway, oil & gas, ports)
Functional & environmental notesExpanded beam design increases the optical beam cross-section to improve tolerance to contamination and misalignment. Protective windows simplify field maintenance. The connector supports both digital and RF signal types when configured in singlemode. Robust mechanical design supports repeated mating cycles and shock/drop resistance.
