Description

THE ONLY INTERNATIONALLY CERTIFIED HAZARDOUS LOCATION STEPPER MOTOR AVAILABLE • ATEX and IECEx certified for Class I, Zone 1 locations • UL certified for Class 1, Div 1, Group C & D locations • HazLoc certified for USA, Canada, Europe and Middle East • High torque design • Optimized for microstepping Built for Hazardous Locations Class I hazardous locations are those in which flammable gases, vapors or liquids are, or may be, present in the air in quantities sufficient to produce explosive or ignitable mixtures. Zone 1, also known as Division 1, defines a hazardous location in which flammable gases, vapors or liquids exist all of the time or some of the time under normal operating conditions. Explosive atmospheres are commonly found in the oil, gas, mining and printing industries, as well as in paint-finishing locations and aircraft hangars. The following links provide more information about international certifications for hazardous location. Complete Solution for Hazardous Locations The HX56-100 step motor is certified for use with the HazLoc rated STAC6-Q-H stepper drive from Applied Motion Products. Together these two products create a complete motion control solution for use in hazardous locations. The most common installation will mount the STAC6-Q-H stepper drive in a Zone 2 (Division 2) location that is physically isolated from the Zone 1 (Division 1) location where the HX56-100 step motor is operating. The HX56-100 stepper motor and STAC6-Q-H stepper drive combination provides precise position and velocity control. A best-in-class anti-resonance algorithm ensures optimal performance of the motor over the widest speed range.
