PresentationSOBA SMALL is a level regulator for liquids, technically similar to the SOBA model and specifically designed for small tanks or confined spaces. It detects level by float tilt, actuating an electrical contact to control pumps, alarms or other regulation devices. Designed and manufactured in France.
OperationThe pear-shaped float moves with the liquid level. When the liquid reaches the set level the float tilts and opens or closes an internal mechanical switch depending on the selected mode (fill or empty). The cable includes three conductors (COM, NO, NC) to choose the operating mode during wiring. Used in pairs (one float for low level and one for high level), SOBA SMALL enables complete level control.
Advantages and applications- Designed for small tanks and confined spaces
- Omnidirectional detection (responds to liquid movement regardless of position)
- Biconical polypropylene body to limit dirt accumulation
- Suitable for liquids with impurities or deposits (when magnetic sensors are not appropriate)
- Adjustable ballast (250 g loaded resin) supplied as standard to optimize switching point
Installation and adjustmentsThe ballast clips onto the cable and is positioned to adjust the pivot point and switching angle according to liquid agitation and filling/emptying flow. The greater the distance between the ballast and the float, the larger the level differential (and switching angle). Indicative values: min Y = 10 cm -> X 20-25 cm; max Y = 30 cm -> X 40-45 cm.
