Overview
The SOBA HR HY float level switch is designed for automatic pump control and level regulation in aggressive or corrosive liquids. It features a press‑vulcanised HR HY (Hypalon) double envelope with a biconical shape, a changeover contact (COM/NO/NC) and an adjustable 250 g resin ballast on the cable for fine tuning of the rotation point and operation across a wide density range.

Operation
The device operates by a tipping principle: the float rises and falls with the liquid level and actuates the integrated mechanical switch when the preset position is reached. The 3‑wire cable (COM, NO, NC) allows selection of filling or draining mode at wiring. Two identical floats can be used together to control minimum and maximum tank levels.

Usage modes

Supply examples: 12, 24, 48 VAC/VDC; 250 VAC/VDC 50/60 Hz. Switching capacity: 16 (6) A (16 A resistive; 6 A inductive). Example DC ratings: 48 V — resistive 1.5 A / inductive 0.8 A; 12 V — 100 mA; 24 V — 10 mA.

Installation and use
The ballast is adjustable on the cable: moving the weight changes the level differential required to actuate the switch (greater distance weight/float increases the level difference). Indicative values: Y min = 10 cm -> X 25–30 cm; Y max = 30 cm -> X 45–50 cm. Cable can be supplied to custom length to avoid inappropriate splices. The float should be suspended by the cable sheath (recommended accessory: FIXCAB). External electrical connections must be made in a sealed junction box located outside the tank.
