Vacuum impregnation autoclave (VI) Vacuum impregnation autoclaves are used in the electric motor industry to improve the quality and durability of motor winding insulation. The application of vacuum in the autoclave allows the insulation to be saturated with resin or varnish, improving the resistance and durability of the insulation in electric motor windings. Additionally, on one hand, it helps to remove air and moisture trapped inside the winding, and on the other hand, it ensures the uniform distribution of resin or varnish around the windings, which improves protection against moisture, corrosion, and wear. As a standard, a fully automatic solution is offered, consisting of a storage tank for the impregnation product, the autoclave, and the connection for transferring the product between them. As an alternative, the autoclave can be offered without a tank; the resin is introduced in trays directly inside the autoclave, and the components are submerged in the trays before closing the autoclave to start the treatment cycle.
