Description

- Body - 4340 alloy steel (AMS-S-5000), heat treated, cadmium plated. - Race - 17-4 PH stainless steel (AMS 5643), heat treated. - Ball - 440C stainless steel (AMS 5630), heat treated, hard chrome plated (AMS-QQ-C-320 Class 2). - The metal to metal Rod End Bearings listed in the tables below have the same envelope dimensions, materials (less Ptfe Liners), basic tolerances, and load capacities as those that are approved to SAE-AS81935/1. - Keyways are available. Units are supplied without keyways. When a keyway is required, specify by adding suffix "K". Ex.: ASMK-3. - As applicable, keyways will conform to SAE-AS81935/3 or NAS 559. - All threads are rolled after heat treatment, and conform to UNJF-3A per AMS-S-8879. - Consult factory for material substitutions or dimensional modification possibilities. - Radial Clearance is .002 max (for .0005 max, use suffix-R Example: ASMK-6R). - Add letters "F" or "Z" to part size to designate flush or zerk type fittings respectively (Example ASM-6F or ASM-6Z). - For dry-film lubrication on the inside diameter of races, use suffix D(Example ASMK-6D). For dry film on ball bore and/or outside diameter, contact factory.
